Sorry I have been missing, for this week, but lots
of things came up, and one thing led to another,
and here we are on Sunday again so soon.
Now you know when you haven't crafted for a
while, Mr Mojo thinks he is on holiday, and has
to be persuaded, to come back kicking and screaming.
I pondered on this card, and it was going to be
lots of different styles, and papers, before I actually got this design in my head.
It's for my step granddaughter's Birthday.
This is a 8"x8" size card.
I used the Sue Wilson embossing folder Heart
Lattice on red card to go with the topper image.
The image is from the Hunkydory Decoupage
Pad, and it's actually oblong in shape, but I
decided to die cut it oval, as it looked nicer that
way.
The die cut round the oval is the same corner
dies as I have used in the corners.
So don't just think corners on your dies.
I used some snippets to mount the image on to
make it like card stock, and gems were snippets
too.
So I'm off to the playground to join in this weeks
antics.

ReplyDeleteRed is my favorite color (all my life I think!). This one is a big sparkle & this young lady is going to love the gorgeous shoe image. Loved the way you thought about using the corners to frame the main focal as the swirly mat. Very clever & most effective. Of course I loved those flourish corners too! A fantastic card for any young lady, and I bet you get a big hug from her too! TFS & Hugs. Happy week ahead.
