CHRISTMAS CARD AND BOX

Hi, and a big warm welcome to all my very talented, and craft loving friends.

Also a big warm welcome to anyone that just pops in to look at what I have created.

Well we have had snow in my part of Kent it snowed all day on, and off just lightly, but yesterday evening we had about 3 inches.
It is snowing slightly at the moment too.
So you all know where I am going to be today.

While cleaning my teeth this morning one of my fillings dropped out so I now have a great hole in there, typical as I'm not going out in this weather to the dentist.
Luckily it's not aching yet or I'll have to.

I made this card a box before Christmas, and haven't had the time to show it yet.
I was asked to make this with quite short notice for someone for their partner.

This is a 8"x8" size card, and box I made to fit it.
The Robin image in the centre was from an re-cycled Christmas card.
I used my Crafters Companion embossing folder with Christmas words again.
Cut up at Tattered Lace Holly Frame die to fit the aperture.
Sentiment done on the computer, and edged with a red sharpie pen.
Finally I added a flower arrangement with berries.
I would like to enter this into the Allsorts Challenge, and the things beginning with B are Bird, Branch, Bow, Berries, and finally Box.

Thank you so much for your visit, and your precious time.
I very much appreciate every visit, and comment.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges.

  15. Hi Jenny, We have got snow, snow, snow, here too, and it's still doing little flurries now and again. Stay warm.
I can commiserate with your fillings, I have a similar problem although I don't know if mine is a missing filling or a crumbling tooth, and I've been brushing with the Colgate Pro Relief ever since, it definitely works haha. I really need to visit the Dentist but keep putting it off and while the toothpaste is working I'm putting it off even more hahaha.
A really lovely card and box, and the image is gorgeous, as is the flower and foliage.
    Keep warm !!
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  17. Oh Jenny, I hate the dentist and so I feel your pain. I have part of a filling missing in my back tooth as well. I find that when I use coconut charcoal to brush with it keeps any pain I might have at bay. I use natural toothpastes like cinnamon or tea tree oil toothpaste. It really helps a lot! I sure hope your's doesn't pain you so you don't have to go out in the weather. Snow showers for us come Friday but temps to high to amount to much thankfully. lol This card and box is just stunning! I love the white and red color combo, it's just so elegant looking! I also love that robin, your robins don't have as much orangey-red on their breast as ours does so it's cool seeing yours! Ours are blacker too. Funny how that is isn't it?! Love that embossing as well, such a beautiful embossing folder-well I just love everything about this card and box!! I sure hope the recipient loved it too. Hugs, Brenda

  18. Bummer on the lost filling. Hope it doesn't get painful until you are safely able to get out to the dentist. Loved this gorgeous robin (your UK robins are much more colorful than our USA ones!) Also delighted to read it was a recycled image as well, for you certainly reused him to great effect with all the design work that you've done on this beautiful card. I always admire that you make a pretty box to go with your gorgeously layered cards too! TFS & Hugs. Stay cozy if you can.

  20. Oh my Jenny! This is just gorgeous! Love the little robin, my favourite bird and I love to hear them sing. Gorgeous colours and so neat as always. Do you buy your boxes ready made hun? Or do you make them? If so is love to know how as I need some for my cards. Like you I'm big on embellishments lol. I hope your tooth isn't hurting yet. Thanks so much for your comments on my posts. Don't know about you but really struggling with how cold it is at the moment. I love the snow bit don't like the pain it brings lol. Hope your back is a bit more tolerable hun xxx
