I also lost my first Husband to the big C when I was quite young. I have 3 children and 3 stepchildren. 12 Grandchildren and 5 Great Granddaughters and 3 Great Grandsons. I have been card making for about 25 years. I have made things all my life as my Mum and Grand Mother taught me lots of hobbies. I have made my own clothes, knitted garments, hand embroidered items of clothing, and crocheted items too. I love to bake my own cakes as well.

ANNIVERSARY CARD

Hi and welcome to all my very talented and craft loving friends.

As it's been so darn hot I am giving housework the heave ho for now and doing more posting for a change.

It is cooler today but it's still so hot in the house after the last few days and it plays my Arthritis up so much.

Today I have an Anniversary card I made for my stepson and his wife back in April.

This is a 8"x8" size card.
The papers are Stamperia
and the heart dies are Tattered Lace.
Flowers and Leaves are Carnation Crafts Dies.
Pearly centres of flowers from HobbyHouse.

I could not put Happy Anniversay on this as my DIL had just lost her Mother hence no verse either.

Thank you so much for your visit and precious time.
I really appreciate every visit and wonderful comment you make.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

  3. This is beautiful and the words are just right. Always difficult to know what to say when a celebration coincides with a sad event. At lest you have a choice when you make your own cards rather than buying off the shelf.

  7. Hi Jenny, A really lovely card, and so thoughtful of you with your sentiment, a real shame when a happy event coincides with a very sad time, I hope your D-I-L is feeling a little better now and thinking of all the great times she had with her Mum, rather than the very sad time.
I have been terrible in this heatwave, it has played havoc with my breathing, and have been constantly 'melting', I am so glad that it is a little 'fresher' now, and sleeping will be easier too.
Take care, stay safe and stay well.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  11. beautiful anniversary card. As you say, sometimes it's difficult to find a verse, so best to leave it blank and write your own message.

  13. Oh Jenny, we are having a hot one here too this week, started on Friday. The high dew points and humidity effect my Lupus and RA arthritis too. It's no fun that is for sure. Your anniversary card is stunning Jenny! I am loving that image and the wood grain paper. I am so sorry for your DIL's loss, to much loss of late it feels like. Hugs, Brenda
