Hi and welcome to all my very talented friends, and visitors.
So glad it's a little cooler at the moment, and I do hope the weather where ever you live is being kind to you all.
I try in my crafting life to try lots of different types of crafting skills I have not tried before.
So today I have card that I have been working on over a few days.
My new skills I have tried are inking backgrounds, and stencilling.
Sorry this is a long winded explanation of how I created this card.
This is a 8"x8" size card.
I started by putting DI Worn Lipstick, Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio, and Dusty Concord on my glass matt added water and dabbed my card into the wet inks.
I did this about 5 times drying it in between with my heat gun till I liked it.
I then sprinkled water over it and dried it again.
Buy this time my new Distress Oxide inks turned up from my order.
So inked the edges with Worn Lipstick DOI.
I then stamped a words background stamp all over it with London Fog Ink.
On the front I stamped some Dragonflies with Cracked Pistachio DOI.
I then used a stencil from Imagination Crafts with the bird and the branches, and Inked it with Tuxedo Black Ink.
I also stencilled around the edges with Imagination Crafts Agean Starlights Paint.
I then used a Glitter gel pen on the branches and the bird.
I inked some more card with DOI Worn Lipstick, Cracked Pistachio, Broken China, and stencilled another bird, and decoupaged it.
Made my flowers with a cheap die and hand cut and coloured my leaves.
Nearly forgot to say I used Snippets to make the bird, flowers, and leaves so I will be joining my playground friends in the Snippets plaground with this.

Hope you like my dabble into inked backgrounds.
Lots of crafty love. JENNY.

Hi Jenny
What smashing backgrounds. Don't do much inking as I don't do messy lol! But, I'd forgotten the fab things you can do with inks.
Best wishes.
