Hi and welcome to cardsarus blog spot My name is Jenny Lawrence and I live in Kent. My dear and wonderful husband Tony passed away in March 2019 We had been married for 36 years. I also lost my first Husband to the big C when I was quite young. I have 3 children and 3 stepchildren. 12 Grandchildren and 5 Great Granddaughters and 3 Great Grandsons. I have been card making for about 25 years. I have made things all my life as my Mum and Grand Mother taught me lots of hobbies. I have made my own clothes, knitted garments, hand embroidered items of clothing, and crocheted items too. I love to bake my own cakes as well.

60th BIRTHDAY CARD AND BOX

MAY I WISH EVERYONE A VERY HAPPY, HEALTHY, 
AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR.

Good morning to all my wonderful and talented followers and
visitors.
Well it's Sunday morning yet again, not long to 2013 now.
THANK YOU for all your wonderful comments over the past 
5 months since I started my blog.
If it wasn't for the encouragement of Linda Burrows and Pops.
I would have never dreamed of starting my own blog so 
A BIG THANK YOU TO YOU BOTH.
I have really enjoyed having my own blog and posting my work
for you to see.
I do hope I have in some little way inspired you with my creations
as you have inspired me.
I look forward to more of the same wonderful creations by you all
in 2013.
I have learnt so much since I started, especially how kind and
caring each and everyone of you are in this wonderful crafting
community.
There is no end to your generosity and you know who you are,
such wonderful blog friends who will go the extra mile to help
and send me such wonderful craft goodies and die cut outs.
May I say a big thank you to you all.

The card and box is and A5 size.
The card was made with 3 A5 size cards glued together with
double sided tape.
The papers used were from a CD called Peacock Summer Party
by Artylicous created by the studio of Glenda Waterworth.
I added the big 6o from my Get in Shape Templates.
Other bits and pieces from my stash.

65th BIRTHDAY CARD

Good morning dear blog friends and visitors.
I do hope you all had a great and happy festive time these last
few days.
THANK YOU for all your wonderful festive wishes.
I had a wonderful Christmas.

My card today is a commissioned one I made for a lady that
attends my little club, her son was 65 on Christmas Eve.
I hope you like it.

This card is an A5 size deckle edged.
Matted with with paper from my pad of Dessert Blooms paper.
The other side of the paper was plain colour which I added to
the bottom of the card both inside and out.
I printed my sentiment on the computer and cut it out with
the Spellbinders Labels 24 Die, and then inked round the edges
while still in the die with Tea Dye Distress Ink.
I added some different colour card to each edge of the label.
I also finished off the bottom of the card with Die bits from 
the Spellbinders Fall Foliage Die and glittered the edges.
I added a couple of corners from the Marianne Creatables 
corner die.

CHRSTMAS CALENDER

Well I managed to do some crafting yesterday and this the last
Christmas card  I had to do for the residents that live in the sheltered housing flats that is nearly next to my bungalow.

This is an 8x8 size card.
Matted with Dovecraft Metallic Pearl card and the papers were
from the paper pad I bought from Hobbycraft called Dessert Blooms.
The Digi calender image was from Pink Gems, matted onto the
Decorative Circles Die.
I added some cotton crochet lace I bought many moons ago
under the circles,  and threaded ribbon through it that I won on
a blog hop.
The corners are Marianne Creatables, and I used some sock and
wooden tree embellishments from my stash.
Thank you again for your visit especially at such a busy time
of the year.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday, please try not to
panic if your not ready for Christmas.
So what if you forgot the Turkey or Christmas Pudding. lol
I only eat Chocolate at Christmas anyway. lol.

FATHER CHRISTMAS

Good morning to all you wonderful and talented followers and 
visitors to my blog.
A big welcome to my new follower and thank you for choosing
to follow my blog.
Sorry I haven't posted for a few days, but you know what this time of year is like.
I had a few commitments and little Faye and Ellie to look after.
For anyone who doesn't know they are my two little great
granddaughters.

I hope you all keeping well and nearly ready for Christmas.
I still have one Christmas card to make but haven't had the time 
to craft for a few days.
My card today is one I made on the weekend.

This is an 8x8 card size.
Matted with red card and Dovecraft Back to Basic Christmas
papers.
I added some ribbon to the center and some lovely lace threaded
with velvet ribbon through it.
The lace was sent to me by a wonderful blog buddy, you know 
who you are Thank You sooooooo much.
The image I have used before it's a freebie off the internet.
I coloured in with Promarkers, and then added some 
embellishments from my stash.

MY ATTEMPT AT PATRICIA'S CHRSTMAS ORNAMENT

Good Morning to all you very wonderful and talented craft loving
followers and visitors to my blog.
Well it's Sunday again and time is flying by, so we are one day
closer to Christmas yipee! can't wait I just love Christmas.
I like to watch my little great granddaughters faces as they open 
their presents.
It will be Faye's 3rd Christmas and Ellie's 2nd.  Ellie was only
5 months old last Christmas so it should be great fun watching
her this year.

Today I have attempted Patricia's Christmas Ornament which

WINTER WISHES NO 2

Good morning dear blog friends and visitors.
May I say a big welcome to my new follower and thank you for
joining my blog.
May I also say thank you to all of my followers, you are so very
kind to visit me and leave such wonderful comments.
I really do appreciate every one that is made, especially at this
time of year when everyone is so busy with the run up to 
Christmas.

My card today is Winter Wishes No 2.

This is an 8x8 size card.
Matted with teal card and Dovecraft Christmas Papers.
I cut out the smallest square from the Grand Square Die.
I add the sentiment bought from Pink Gem Digi Images to
the Largest Tear Drop Circle which was given to me by a
wonderful craft buddy, you know who you are thank you.
I added some ribbon across the center underneath the square,
and also added a bow too.
The corners are Marianne Creatables.
Some little Christmas Trees, White Holly Leaves, and the 
sentiment inside from my stash.

WINTER WISHES

Good morning to all you wonderful and talented crafts people
and visitors.
Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I was so exhausted after the big
raffle at my club I run, I just didn't have the energy to post.
I left home at 10 am and got back at 6-30pm.
You see I have to ferry some of my ladies home because the 
hampers they win would be too heavy for them to carry.
We all had a wonderful afternoon and a great Christmas party.

I am also sorry I didn't get round to your blogs you see I had a
early morning request to look after Ellie.

My card today is a Christmas one again.

Matted with blue card and Grand Scolloped Squares cut out
of some blue card with lots of snowflakes printed on it.
The sentiment is from Pink Gems Digi Images.
This is matted on to the smallest Grand Decorative Circles Die
and threaded with ribbon.
I finished off the card with Marianne Snowflakes Die, and 
some sequin snowflakes, and lastly a big lace bow.

ANOTHER OF PATRICIA'S BAGS

Good morning to all you wonderful talented craft people and
visitors.
THANK YOU yet again for your visit and comments, especially
at this time of year when we all are very busy preparing for 
Christmas.
Today I have my Christmas raffle at my club I run so I may 
be a little late visiting all of your blogs.
We break up for Christmas today and don't return till mid Jan.
This gives me and my friend that run the club a little break to
do what we have to do for Christmas.

SANTA IS COMING

I thought for a moment I had lost my mojo, but it soon came
flooding back, thank goodness.

THE BOX TO THE STAR CARD

Good morning to all my dear and talented blog friends and visitors.
Well is Sunday morning again and Christmas is drawing ever
nearer. Yipee! 
 THANK you for all your wonderful comments as always I really
do appreciate them.
I am so sorry I didn't get to visit your blogs yesterday.
My daughter and I went Christmas shopping, and I came home
exhausted and had to have a little nap, after which my chef that's
my hubby had 2 migraines so I had to cook the tea, and then I had
to cook a Lemon Drizzle cake for my daughter's partner as we are
off to their house for late lunch tomorrow. 
So I will try and catch up tomorrow morning.
I hope you are all keeping nice and warm in this very cold weather.

This box I decorated in a similar way to the card but reversing 
the colours.
I forgot to mention yesterday that the pyramid design with
the Parisian Motifs was not my idea this idea was given to 
all of us on the lovely Linda Burrows blog creativeharmony
she was the one who thought of this lovely idea.

STAR CARD OR K CARD BOOK

Good morning to all my wonderful talented followers and visitors.

My post today is a little long as this card you need to see quite
a few picture of.

This is basically an A5 card. You make 3 or 5 but it has to be an 
odd number, and then you glue them all together to make
your star card book.
This is a lovely project for a Wedding or a special birthday.
I photographed mine before I decorated most of the inside.

CARTE POSTALE

Good morning to all you wonderful talented crafts people and
visitors.

It is St Andrews Day today. So Happy St Andrews Day to our
wonderful crafts people that live in Scotland.
 
I hope you had a wonderful Thursday and are nearly ready for
Christmas.
I know I'm not ready yet, I'm only ready when all the shops are
closed. lol.
THANK YOU for all your wonderful comments on my work.
I very much appreciate everyone that is made.

I am up on cloud nine at the mo as I entered a card into 
The Stamping Shack challenge and came 2nd to the great
Sue Bearhouse isn't that just fab.

My card today is one I'm not sure about, you know every
once in a while you make something and it just doesn't
feel right.
I will be very interested to view your comments about it.

This card is an 8x8 size.
The stamps used were Sam Poole's Carte Postal.
I distressed the card and box with Wild Honey Distress Ink,
and Tea Dye Distress Ink.
I cut out some leaves from the Foliage 1 Die, and the metal
stamps were done with Metal Magic.
I await you opinion on this because as I say this never seemed
quite right to me.

THE BOX TO GO WITH THE 50th B/CARD

Good morning to all my wonderful talented followers and visitors.
May I say a big welcome to my new follower and thank you for
choosing to follow my blog.
Well I hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday.
The weather is still quite nasty and windy so I hope everyone
of you is managing to stay dry and warm.

I was supposed to going to the pictures to see Skyfall last night
but I did not feel too good all day so my daughter and I cancelled
it for another evening.
As soon as I decided not to go I started feeling a lot better, isn't
that just typical.

Today I have the box that goes with the 50th Birthday Card,
I posted a few days ago.

The box was made with Centura Ivory A3 pearlised card.
I added the largest Grand Decorative Circle Die and the
Marianne Corner Die to each corner.
I made a flower with the Anemone Die and added some foliage
from the Foliage 2 Die.

IT'S TWINCHIE TIME AGAIN

Good morning dear friends and visitors.
I hope all of you survived the high winds and rain Saturday night
without any damage to your homes.
My granddaughter and her husband had their chimney come
down with the wind, and it cracked some of their roof tiles.
Sounds like they had a lucky escape, it so easily could  have been worse.
Thank goodness it wasn't.

THANK YOU sooooooo much for all your sympathy wishes.
You all are sooooooo very kind and caring. I just love being
part of this wonderful crafting community.
THANK YOU also for all your wonderful comments on my
work.

SYMPATHY CARD

Good morning to all you talented crafty people and visitors.
I just hope all is okay with all my crafting friends out there.

Well today is the card we just all hate to make, especially if 
it's for a friend or relative, and this one is for a relative.

This is a 6x6 size card.
Matted with some lovely pale green pearlised paper.
The botanical swirl design was sent to me from a lovely
blog friend. You know who you are and thank you soooooo
much.
I put it inside the Labels One which I made into a frame.
I added some leaves that look exactly the same from the
Spellbinders Foliage Two Die.
The flower is the center of the Spellbinders Anemone Die.
I have added some Parisian Accents around the Labels 14
Die and in the corners.

LILAC POINSETTIAS

I do hope the weather is a little bit nicer, and that none of you
have experienced any flooding.

My card today is a Christmas one.

This an 8x8 size card.
Matted with holographic mirri card and then white card.
The lilac poinsettias are from Hunckydory last year as is the
sentiment.
I put some Spellbinders Parisian Accents behind the sentiment
and added a bow.

50th BIRTHDAY CARD

Good morning to all of my talented followers and visitors.
If you are a visitor please leave a comment on my work so I 
know you have visited me. 
THANK YOU for all your wonderful comments. 
I know I keep saying this but it means such a lot to me to have
your comments on my work.

I hope the weather hasn't caused any of you too much trouble
yesterday, lets hope it improves today fingers crossed.

I spent most of the day yesterday baking I've made my 
Christmas cake at long last, and some cakes for hubby.
He said to me you don't bake me any cakes and then today 
you have made 4.
So I replied well my baking is like a bus first there is no bus,
and then three all come along at the same time. lol.
In any rate that's enough of my waffling, and here is my 
card today.
This card is a raffle prize I put in the Mcmillan Nurses coffee
morning a while back. The lady in question didn't need it till
December.
I hope you like it.

This is an 8x8 card.
Matted with a dark apricot colour card and the some beige
pearl card.
The paper I cut the Grand Decorative Circle and the corners
with is from the Desert Blooms Pad of papers.
I added a sentiment, some flowers, and an embroidered lace
from my stash.
