Hi and welcome to cardsarus blog spot My name is Jenny Lawrence and I live in Kent. My dear and wonderful husband Tony passed away in March 2019 We had been married for 36 years. I also lost my first Husband to the big C when I was quite young. I have 3 children and 3 stepchildren. 12 Grandchildren and 5 Great Granddaughters and 3 Great Grandsons. I have been card making for about 25 years. I have made things all my life as my Mum and Grand Mother taught me lots of hobbies. I have made my own clothes, knitted garments, hand embroidered items of clothing, and crocheted items too. I love to bake my own cakes as well.

Sunday 16 November 2014

Hi and welcome to my blog all my lovely craft
loving friends, and visitors.

Sorry I have been missing, for this week, but lots
of things came up, and one thing led to another,
and here we are on Sunday again so soon.
Now you know when you haven't crafted for a
while, Mr Mojo thinks he is on holiday, and has
to be persuaded, to come back kicking and screaming.
I pondered on this card, and it was going to be
lots of different styles, and papers, before I actually got this design in my head.
It's for my step granddaughter's Birthday.

This is a 8"x8" size card.
I used the Sue Wilson embossing folder Heart
Lattice on red card to go with the topper image.
The image is from the Hunkydory Decoupage
Pad, and it's actually oblong in shape, but I
decided to die cut it oval, as it looked nicer that
The die cut round the oval is the same corner
dies as I have used in the corners.
So don't just think corners on your dies.
I used some snippets to mount the image on to
make it like card stock, and gems were snippets
So I'm off to the playground to join in this weeks

Thank you for your visit, and wonderful
comments you always make.
Lots of crafty love.

I would like to enter this into the following

Really fabulous card Jenny - and who doesn't love shoes :) Super tip for using corner dies not just for corners too!! I'd never thought of that one.

Red is my favorite color (all my life I think!). This one is a big sparkle & this young lady is going to love the gorgeous shoe image. Loved the way you thought about using the corners to frame the main focal as the swirly mat. Very clever & most effective. Of course I loved those flourish corners too! A fantastic card for any young lady, and I bet you get a big hug from her too! TFS & Hugs. Happy week ahead.
