MY FIRST MEMORIES OF OUR BELOVED LATE QUEEN ELIZABETH 11

Hi and welcome to all my very talented and craft loving friends.

I was so saddened by the news on hearing it late Thursday evening about our beloved Queen, I remember celebrating her Coronation when I was just 4 years old.

If you have been folowing my blog for many years you would have seen the picture of me in a Coronation Cake outfit my Mother made for me to go to fancy dress ball.

I actually won first prize too.

This is the photo taken by the South Wales Argus of the first second and third.

I am the one in the centre of the picture the one on my left is my older sister don't know the name of the girl on my right.

My mother printed Westminster Abbey on my blouse I cannot imagine how she idid that in 1953 and then studded items around the cake skirt.

On the top was a the Royal Coach and Horses my mother bought to put on there, apparantly they are worth a lot of money now.

Don't know what happened to mine I most proberly played with it and broke it.

Here is acloser picture of my outfit and the cake.

Thank you so much for sharing my memories.

I really appreciate every vist and wonderful comments you make.

Lots of crafty love. JENNY.

Hi Jenny, What a fabulous dress your Mum made for Queen Elizabeth II's Coronation, it was amazing, both the Coronation and your dress.
Lots of love from Patricia xx.

Thanks for sharing your memories of the coronation, what great photos. I didn’t quite make the coronation, I arrived about four months late. 😉 I think it will be a while before it really sinks in that Queen Elizabeth is no longer here. What an amazing lady she was, serving her country until the end of her long life.

(Thanks again for the voucher. I’ve put a photo of my purchases on my blog.) xx

What a sweet tribute printed right on your dress. Your mother was very crafty to make this for you.
