CARTE POSTALE

Good morning to all you wonderful talented crafts people and
visitors.

It is St Andrews Day today. So Happy St Andrews Day to our
wonderful crafts people that live in Scotland.
 
I hope you had a wonderful Thursday and are nearly ready for
Christmas.
I know I'm not ready yet, I'm only ready when all the shops are
closed. lol.
THANK YOU for all your wonderful comments on my work.
I very much appreciate everyone that is made.

I am up on cloud nine at the mo as I entered a card into 
The Stamping Shack challenge and came 2nd to the great
Sue Bearhouse isn't that just fab.

My card today is one I'm not sure about, you know every
once in a while you make something and it just doesn't
feel right.
I will be very interested to view your comments about it.

 Now the box.

This card is an 8x8 size.
The stamps used were Sam Poole's Carte Postal.
I distressed the card and box with Wild Honey Distress Ink,
and Tea Dye Distress Ink.
I cut out some leaves from the Foliage 1 Die, and the metal
stamps were done with Metal Magic.
I await you opinion on this because as I say this never seemed
quite right to me.

ANYONE FOR GOLF AND A SHOWCASE

Hi,
and good morning to all my friends out there in blog land. Especially my very talented followers.
Whoopee I have 16 followers now so a big welcome to my new followers and the same to the
followers who have joined earlier in my blog life, so to speak. THANK YOU for all your lovely
comments, and your precious time. It makes me feel so happy to have your wonderful friendship.

Now to the card today. You know I said I find creating Male Cards difficult to design, and I
don't get the same buzz at the end as I do with a ladies one. Well here is one of my attempts it
was for my granddaughters husband.

I used an 8x8 card as many of you will know by now my favourite size. Matted it with navy
pearlised card stock, because I didn't have any paper that matched golfing, I made my own.
With 120 GSM copier paper I inked it with 2 different colour distress inks and then stamped
the golfer, his golf bag, and Happy Birthday, randomly. I also did the same for the inside of
the card. I used Personal Impressions template to make the golf bag, coloured in with Promarkers.
I then decoupaged it and did stitching with a black pen. The Happy Birthday tag and the golf bag
embellishment were made with 3 layers of Metal Magic and then the stamp put int it to create a impression. So theres my male card. What do you think?

Next I would like to showcase more of my sisters jewellery making. She made me this to go with
my outfit for my granddaughters wedding. She actually made me 2 one was shown on Lindyloos
blog quite a few weeks ago, and this one I wore because it matched my outfit better.
