Hi and welcome to cardsarus blog spot My name is Jenny Lawrence and I live in Kent. My dear and wonderful husband Tony passed away in March 2019 We had been married for 36 years. I also lost my first Husband to the big C when I was quite young. I have 3 children and 3 stepchildren. 12 Grandchildren and 5 Great Granddaughters and 3 Great Grandsons. I have been card making for about 25 years. I have made things all my life as my Mum and Grand Mother taught me lots of hobbies. I have made my own clothes, knitted garments, hand embroidered items of clothing, and crocheted items too. I love to bake my own cakes as well.

Hi and welcome to all my very talented friends, and visitors.

Looked after the Grand Children yesterday, and my Granddaughter goes back to school tomorrow, and her brother on Thursday.
We baked cakes as usual as they are keen little bakers, and must take after me.

Today I have a card I made for my stepdaughter's husband who loves his garden.
I don't know about you, but over the years I struggle to think of what to put on their cards every year for a change.
So this year it's a gardening theme.

This is a 8"x8" size card.
The image is from the Hunkydory little book of decoupage.
The main papers are Graphic 45.
The Happy Birthday paper is a download from Cuddly Buddly Crafts, and is a snippet left over from another card, and some of the kraft card is snippets also, so I will be joining my playmates with this.

Thank you so much for your visit and precious time.
Lots of crafty love. JENNY.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges.

A super male card, I love the gardening theme and fab papers. Men are so difficult to create cards for I find Jenny, there are limited embellishments unlike female cards and then to come up with a different theme each birthday gets harder and harder every year.

A great card and the papers and card are well matched to the image, well done for using up some snippets too. I'm impressed by the way you do the matching inside to your cards.

Excellent snippets card, Jenny, which I'm sure the gardening stepSIL really enjoyed! One of the few nice things about getting older is that my recipients are just happy to get a card; they just assume I'm getting a bit addled if I make them a similar one and that way I don't worry about it, lol!

How wonderful that you had your little bakers to play with! What lifelong memories you are making with them!! Lots of love, Darnell

Hi Jenny, a super card for a garden lover, mens cards are always more difficult, hope your grand children enjoyed the time you spent baking with them and then shared the spoils! Have a wonderful week... Megan GD Snippets Playground
