BIRTHDAY CARD WITH A SPORTING THEME

Hi and welcome to all my very talented, and craft loving friends.

Sorry I have not been around much lately.

Today I have a Birthday card I made for my Granddaughter's husband who does this sport, and I can't remember the name of the sport silly me.

This is a 8"x8" size card.
The image I found on the Internet.
My Granddaughter actually thought it was a photo of her husband when she saw it.

On another note my Granddaughter always goes to Ascot Ladies day every year, and I show a photo of her every year at the event.

She wore a lovely culotte suit by Karen Millen this year, and she has just the figure to show it off.
She had to have it taken up a little, but guess who got the job of pressing it the day before.
Needles to say I used a cloth to iron it as I didn't want spoil such an expensive outfit.

Thank you so much for your visit, and precious time.
I really appreciate each visit and wonderful comment.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

I would like to enter this into the following challenge.

Great card for your granddaughter's husband. He will appreciate that you found that image for him. He is brave to do that! She is lovely and that hat is a work of art. Love the bright pink culotte.

What a very striking card for your Grandson in law Jenny, so nice to have a custom made card which represents his hobby. But it's your lovely Granddaughter who steals the show, just look at that hat. My eldest son and wife always go to Ascot week and I always love seeing the photos. Nearly forgot to thank you for joining us at Allsorts this week.

I'm sure that card was much appreciated because you used such an appropriate image for his sport. Very smart Ascot outfit too. Sorry if I've missed visiting - having trouble focussing on the screen at present until I go for second cataract surgery.

What a fabulous card Jenny. I have a feeling this is paragliding. We have seen them around Edge Hill here in Oxfordshire and also in the Malverns. Your granddaughter looks stunning in her Ascot outfit. Hope you are doing okay. Hugs Christine xxx

Another great card Jenny and a fabulous photo. Wow, that hat is amazing! I always swore that I would wear a big hat at our Daughter’s wedding and in the end, I ended up wearing a Fascinator. Story of my life...... I’m full of good ideas and then I bottle it at the last minute lol. Lovely to see you when you feel up to it Jenny. You just take your time. Crafty hugs, Sandra x

Hi Jenny, a very striking design with a fabulous image...is it para gliding? I always fancied having a go but o/h and kids freaked out as I'm a trifle accident prone! Beautiful photo of your granddaughter in her lovely outfit.

I think it is hang gliding or para gliding Jenny depending on whether they hang on to a frame or freefall!! Such a fantastic card for an enthusiast, that is what I love about handmade cards we can find just about anything on the 'net these days. Your Granddaughter looks amazing, what a beautiful colour xx

Hi Jenny, I am loving your card! Is that some kind of kite??? Looks impressive and perfect for your granddaughter's husband who does this sport. I loved seeing your granddaughter's photo at the Ascot Ladies day! It was fun watching the news about it here in the States. You granddaughter certainly does have the figure to wear that beautiful outfit. You did a great job of ironing her outfit. Loving the hat-I know it isn't called that, but the proper name escapes me right now as my brain isn't thinking well! lol It sure looked like a lovely day that day. It's been hot everywhere!!! Even Alaska has seen temps to 90, which is usually unheard of. I know we have been in the 90's as well with the feel like temps of 100. Very humid for sure. Lets hope this heat soon leaves us all, although I'm not looking forward to winter either! lol Hugs, Brenda
