50th BIRTHDAY CARD

Good morning to all of my talented followers and visitors.

I know I keep saying this but it means such a lot to me to have
your comments on my work.

I hope the weather hasn't caused any of you too much trouble
yesterday, lets hope it improves today fingers crossed.

I spent most of the day yesterday baking I've made my 
Christmas cake at long last, and some cakes for hubby.
He said to me you don't bake me any cakes and then today 
you have made 4.
So I replied well my baking is like a bus first there is no bus,
and then three all come along at the same time. lol.
In any rate that's enough of my waffling, and here is my 
card today.
This card is a raffle prize I put in the Mcmillan Nurses coffee
morning a while back. The lady in question didn't need it till
December.

 Now the inside.

This is an 8x8 card.
Matted with a dark apricot colour card and the some beige
pearl card.
The paper I cut the Grand Decorative Circle and the corners
with is from the Desert Blooms Pad of papers.
I added a sentiment, some flowers, and an embroidered lace
from my stash.

TEA AND CAKE CHALLENGE

Hi and good morning to all my lovely blog friends.
THANK YOU for your lovely comments yesterday, especially
the wonderful ones on my sister's jewellery making skills.
I know she is very pleased with them so thank you on her behalf.
Well it's Saturday again, and hasn't this week gone by very quick.
Or is it just me slowing down because of my age. lol.
My card today is one I made yesterday for the Tea and Cake 
Challenge at The Emergency Crafters.

The card is an 8x8 matted and layered with aubergine card stock,
and some glitter paper I bought from C and C quite a few years ago. The check and the stripe paper were a freebie with a card
making magazine. I put some thick purple ribbon with lace on top
in the centre. The lace has holes in the centre so I threaded another
slightly different colour narrow ribbon through it. The Birthday
Cake digi image is from The Scrapbook Society. The tea cup digi
image is a freebie off the internet. They are both coloured in with 
Promarkers, then I glittered round the images with glitter glue.
Then I put glue and crystal glitter on the flowers and candles.
I made a little flower arrangement with cherry blossoms from
WOC and some from my stash. I added a lacy bow and some flat back flower pearls from my stash also, and oh I nearly forgot the 
design round the oval image is the centre of the Spellbinders Ornate Cross, cut in half and glued to the back to give it a pretty
frame.

The Wedding Box

Hi everyone if my post went out yesterday okay this is my 2nd posting. It's Tuesday morning and just my 2nd day at this.
Before I get to my card today I would like to say a big THANK YOU to Lindyloo for showcasing my cards so often on her web site, and also her encouragement to start this blog.
I would also like to thank Pops for her suggestion on starting a blog too.
My card today is a box I made for my Granddaughter's Wedding Book which I made for her mother to give her. I'm not sure how to upload multiple pics on one posting so I will post the card book on a later posting. Perhaps somebody can advise me about multiple pics.
The box is made with Crafters Companion A3 ivory pearlised card. I worked out the size to fit and 8x8 card myself and then marked the markings on my A3 cutting mat. Then I used some lovely pearlised paper form my local craft shop. I cut out the Spellbinders Parisian corners to go all around the box. Then I added some ivory lace I cut into small pieces with ivory pearls on top. I also used some little organza roses that come on a roll and put ivory pearls on the top. The lace and the organza roses came from Wild Orchid Crafts. The ivory pearls from E bay. I used the Spellbinders Parisian round motifs and scolloped circles for the center and distressed with victorian velvet distress ink.

The Weeding Card Book

Hi Everyone, I'm back today with the card book that went into the box, I showed this morning. I have  used Crafters Companion A3 ivory pearlised card cut into a 8 x8 inch card. I cut out 3 identical
ones to make the book, and glued them together with double sided tape. I used the same paper form my local craft shop, and the cut up lace and pearls on top. Then I added the organza roses to it too.
The center of the card is Spellbinders lacy circles and parisian motif too. Finished it off with an ivory organza bow, with a pearly round button type of thing I make. Basically you use a dob of clear glue gel on a piece of greased paper you find under your sticky pads. Then you pop pearls into it in what ever shape you would like. Any holes you cover with clear glitter. I got this idea after admiring Sue Wilson's on her cards so as I couldn't buy any, I made my own.
