POINSETTIA CHRISTMAS CARD

Hi and welcome to my blog all my craft loving
friends and visitors.

Sorry I haven't been around for a few days I was
a bit under the weather,  all this damp  has made
my Arthritis play up so I thought I would have a
few days rest. I suffer with  Osteoarthritis and have it in my spine so sometimes it affects my
neck and lower back quite nastily if its' damp.
I will get around to looking in on your blogs
today, hopefully.

Thank you for all your recent comments on my
Scary Mary Keepsake Box.
I very much appreciate them all.

I managed to craft a little yesterday, and this is
what I made for the Pixies Snippetts Challenge.

This is a 6"x6" size card.
I stamped all around the edge of the card with
a stamp my Niece lent me, coloured in the berries
with a Promarker.
I stamped the Poinsettia stamp all over the red
bit of snippetts card with pigment ink, and then
brushed it all over with Mica Powder.
I stamped the Poinsettia stamp onto a bit of
snippetts card again, and coloured the image in
with Promarkers again.
This is a really beautiful set of stamps my Niece
lent me.
She was the one that got me into card making
about 12 years ago.

I do hope you have all had a fab weekend.
Thank you again for your time and visit.
Lots of crafty love.   JENNY.

I would like to enter this into the folowing
challenges.

Wow Jenny - a really snippets beautiful card! Brilliant stamping too.

I have osteoarthritis as well so my heart goes out to you - and the cold and damp doesn't help at all :(

Hugs, Di xx

Hi Jenny!
I'm really sorry your feeling under the weather so to speak . Arthiritis in your spine must be painful , I have it in my hip and that's agony so it must be awful for you.
Hope you feel better soon. I agree the weather makes things worse with Arthiritis . Healing thoughts sent your way.
By the way this card is stunning! Loving all the detail you've done with the stamping and micro powder. You have such great imagination!

Hi Sharon,
I got the stand from the Yankee Candle shop.
You have to get a nice strong man to cut away some bits so you can slot your card into place, as it's really for candles.
Hope this helps.
Lots of love. Jenny.

Hi Jenny
I love your card, it is beautiful, and good luck in the contest.
Thank you for commenting on my penguin and also thanks for the link for the butterfly. They are really lovely, so am going to have a go at making them.
Hope you are soon feeling a bit better, that's the trouble with the damp weather it sets in on the aches and pains, I usually sit and cringe with my right hand but keep on sewing or knitting whilst gritting my teeth LOL!!
Take care
Love Sue xx

Hope your arthritis settles down...I suffer from it too so know how it can stop you in your tracks.

This is such a gorgeous card. I love the stamped poinsettia background with the mica powder over it. I have not tried that technique yet...it sure looks great on your card.

The stamp set is lovely and you have made it up into a beautiful card!

Morning Jenny, I truly hope you are feeling a little better now, it must be really painful for you. When you win the lottery you will be able to live somewhere in the 'sun', and I'll join you ha ha.
I love your card today, especially the holly stamping, and the stamping and mica on the background card, it is gorgeous. Mica stamping seems to be making a resurgence, and after seeing your beautiful creation, I will be 'dusting' off mine ha ha.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
