SNIPPETS MAKE BOX

Hi and welcome to my blog, everyone that visits.
Well I can't believe it's a week since I posted last.
I have been very busy making some cards for
family Birthdays, and some orders that I have to
finish, and in between I made some snippets boxes, to be shown over the coming weeks.
So here is the first one.

This is a box that is just under 4" square.
I made this from what is left over from my
big boxes that I make for 8" cards.
The lace was also snippets left over form
another project.
The leaves were made from snippets of card too,
which I used on my last card.
I coloured the card for the box with Pan Pastels.

Thank you again for your visit and your
 wonderful comments.
I do hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

I would like to enter this into the following
challenges.

This is wonderful! I so love your boxes. This one is no exception! The yellow is such a very soft shade of yellow and goes so beautiful with the lace you have chosen. I want to try making a box now!

The story of my friends husband is a sad but also very touching one. He was an immigrant to Canada from Austria. He met my girlfriend and they married and started a family.
He was on a guided trip...and there just happened to be another fellow from Austria, visiting Canada on holiday. My friends husband left the group and went off on his own. No one knew where he was...but the young Austrian tourist kept looking, even when the rest of the group had quit to rest...and found him. He then took 6 months off his job in Austria, and stayed in Canada with them at their house and ran the fish shop my friend's husband owned. And now the kicker...he would not let them pay him!
He just felt badly that my friend was self employed and had a young family to support...and would have no income while he recovered.
They have him and his family for holidays every few years since. They try to take them all around and show them the sights! Small way to repay such kindness.

Jenny it's great to have a snippet box as what you can make from the bits is amazing. Your box is a testament to that, it's beautiful. Never throw anything away really, if you can't use it give it to someone who can that's how I work. Hazel xx
