MIXED MEDIA JOURNAL COVER

Hi and welcome to all my very talented friends, and visitors.

Sorry I have been missing again, sometimes life just limits blogging because of everything you have to do, and as I take things at a snails pace now time seems to run out on me.
So thank you for your visit, and understanding.

I have another thing to cross off my crafty list of things to try.
I bought a book about 2 years ago to do some journaling, and never got round to using it till now, so as it's a new year I thought I must cross that one off my list of things to try.
So here is my mixed media cover I created, as I am a newbie to this type of thing I hope it looks okay.

I started by using black gesso to prime the cover then I added my items which included some kitchen roll for texture, and covered them with Starlight Paints in Agean, and Diamond colours.

Lots of crafty love.   JENNY.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges.

Well done you for trying something new, mixed media has been on my list for ages but like you I just can't seem to find the time.
You look as if you thoroughly enjoyed this as it has turned out beautifully. I love the colour and texture you have created on the cover, looking forward to seeing your pages as you get round to creating them too.

How proud you'll be to make entries in this pretty book! I've never tried this journaling, but you've done an awesome job, and good for you, at trying something new! TFS & Hugs

Morning Jenny, Stunning !! This journal cover is positively stunning !! I love the 'ethereal' feel to mixed media and you have achieved this in millions. I absolutely love how you have created this stunning cover.
'Tempus Fugit' and it certainly does, I wish that we could 'buy' time, I would be first in the queue haha, because time certainly flies, and 'life' gets in the way, usually the mundane chores !!
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Okay? Its bloomimg amazing!! LOVE the colour Jenny and the texture is wonderful. You must be really pleased, its gorgeous!! I know what you mean about finding blogging time. I try to make time for "me" every day but boy did I underestimate the amount of time the pups would take. I suppose the previous two were getting on in years and we just forgot!! On the plus side, its easy to keep the weight off...we are walking 5/6 miles a day!! xx
