GRANDDAUGHTER'S BIRTHDAY CARD

Hi and welcome to all my very talented, and craft loving friends.

I do hope everyone has had a good week, but the weather here in Kent as been hot one min, and quite cold the next.

It was my Granddaughter's 20th Birthday recently, and she is in Southampton Uni so this is the card I made and sent her.

This is a 8"x8" size card.
The card stock is Hunkydory.
The image is from one of their first little books.
I found the sentiments in one of my craft drawers when re-vamping my craft room at the beginning of the year which were bought many moons ago.
Corners were cut from the Tattered Lace Circle Trellis Die.

Thank you so much for your visit, and precious time.
I really appreciate every visit and wonderful comment.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

OLDIE FOR FRIDAY

Hi and welcome to all my craft loving friends, and visitors.
Sorry I didn't get around to commenting on every ones blogs yesterday and the day before, but I got so tired I fell asleep while at my computer.
My sister always says I can fall asleep anywhere, just don't sleep well at night so that's my excuse, and I take blood pressure meds which make me very sleepy some days, but strangely not at night.
Hopefully you will forgive my lack of commenting, but I will try hard to catch up today, and tomorrow.

Well I can't believe it's Friday already, and time to share and older creation with ERIKA HERE.
This is all just for fun, but a delightful way to show newer followers your work before they joined you.
So here is mine for this week I made this for the butterfly challenge a few years ago.

This is a 8"x8" size card.
I made this with a Hunkydory kit I bought about 4 years ago.
I die cut the leaves, and added stickles to them, and I also die cut the butterflies and inked them with a combination of DI to give them their different colours to match the card.

Thank you so much for your visit, and time.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES DT.................................PURPLE HAZE

Hi and welcome to all my very talented friends, and visitors.
Sorry I have been missing again for a while, but last Thursday my eldest sister passed away from Cancer, and I couldn't bring my self to write about it until now.
The funeral is next week so I will be off to Wales early next week.
She wanted everyone to wear something bright and cheerful to celebrate her life.

Today starts another challenge over at
MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES.
This time around it's the B Teams turn. and Jan Small is the host, and she would like Purple on your entries.
So pop over, and take a look at what my lovely team mates have created.

So here is my DT card.

I decided to make a oval shaped easel card with my Spellbinders Grand Scolloped Oval Die.
The flowers are from a silk bunch I bought ages ago, and I just took them apart, and added some stamens to them.
The leaf flourishes are Spellbinders.

Thank you so much for your visit, and time.
I really do appreciate every comment that you make.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

BABY SHOWER CARD AND NAPPY CAKE

Hi and welcome to all my very talented friends,
and visitors.
Sorry I have been missing this week, but it's
half term, and I was asked to look after my
Grandson, and Granddaughter, and cooking
was on the cards again.
My Grandson made his usual Lemon Drizzle,
and my Granddaughter this time made Butterfly
Fairy Cakes.
So I was a bit exhausted yet again, and I have
quite a few Birthdays at the end of this month,
as well as this Baby Shower card and Nappy
Cake for my other Granddaughter on Sunday.
The Nappy Cake idea came from Hazel's blog.
http://hazelsbasketsofjoy.blogspot.co.uk/2014/02/girl-nappy-cake-and-card.html
Please give her a visit, as she makes some wonderful, and very useful baskets, and
present ideas, as well as cards.
Sorry this is a bit picture heavy.

The card is a 8"x8" size card.
The delightful image is a pre-coloured one
from the Pink Gem Designs.
You get a pre-coloured one and one to colour
yourself.
The papers are a digi download also from the
Pink Gem Designs, I just added a yellow
Promarker to the center to go with the dress in
the image.
I am going to be joining 2 challenges with this.
The Pink Gem one, and the Butterfly Challenge,
as I think they both fit the criteria.

Thank you for your continued support of my
work.
I very much appreciate you time.

and visitors that may just look at my work.
Thank you so much for your visit, and the lovely
comments you make.
It really makes me feel so happy after reading
everyone of them.

Well it's the weekend yet again, and I do hope
all is well with you where ever you are.
If all is not okay well I'm sending big hugs to
try and make you feel a little better.

Now I have quite a few Grand Children, and
today is one of their Birthdays.
Her name is Jessica, and she is sweet sixteen
today.
So after seeing this image at the Pink Gem
web site I had to have it as it looks a little like
her.

This is a 8"x8" size card.
The image is from the Pink Gem website, and
coloured with Promarkers.
The distressed gingham papers are a digi
download too.
The patch work paper is a Freebie Download
from the Crafters Companion Inspire Club.
The flowers were also on one of the sheets of
digi papers with this.
Heart shaped button from the works.

Thank you again for your precious time.

MOTHER'S DAY CARD AND BOX.

Hi and welcome to my bog all my very talented
friends, and visitors.

Well while trawling through my archives of my
blog looking for a Mother's Day card to post for
the Throwback Thursday Challenge, I found this
Mother's Day card I had never posted, as I made
it before I started blogging.
Now I was approached by a neighbour, and asked
if I could donate  making a card for a auction of
promises, in aid of her Grandson's Cricket Club,
which had been flooded out and needed new things.
So the lady who bought my promise wanted 2
Mother's Day cards made, and this is what I
made for her.

This is a A5 size card, and box made to fit.
I used the Cupcake Floral Delights CD for
the papers, and decoupage.
I used Tattered Rose Distress Ink to colour my
American seam binding for the bow on the card,
and also colour some of the card.

Thank you for your visit and the wonderful
comments you make.
I so much appreciate everyone of them.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

THROWBACK THURSDAY CHALLNEGE NO 8

Hi and welcome to my blog, all my craft loving
friends, and visitors.

I am very pleased to say I won the last Throwback
Thursday Challenge.

Because I was not blogging last week I missed
the Throwback Thursday Challenge no 8 which
started last Thursday, but all is not lost as the
challenge runs for a month.
Now Bibiana wants to see Mother's Day creations,
but it's not compulsory, as you may post anything
you have posted before.
As my own Mother passed away sadly 12 years
ago just after I started making cards, I'm afraid I
haven't a Mother's Day card, so I found this card
that I had posted HERE and it has a picture of my
Mother when she was a young woman on it.
She always loved to decoupage flowers around
pictures in picture frames, so I thought this
creation of mine appropriate.

This is a 8"x8" size card.
The papers are from the Heartfelt Creations
Burst of Splendor pad.
I decoupaged the flowers round my Mother's
picture, and in the corner.
I coloured the base cards with Wild Honey, and
Peeled Paint Distress Inks.

Thank you for your visit, and the lovely
comments you make.
I very much appreciate them all.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

Thursday Challenge No 8.

BUTTERFLY CHALLENGE AND SNIPPETS CARD

Hi and welcome to my blog all my craft loving
friends, and visitors.

I do hope you are enjoying your weekend, and
the weather is being kind to you.
We have beautiful sunshine and blue skies, here
in the East of Kent, but it was a quite a  chilly
start to the morning.

I am feeling a lot better now, it must have been
some sort of bug I picked up, and I don't very
often suffer with those.
I also had a phone call from the hospital
offering me another appointment, and guess
what it was for Monday, so I had to decline it.
Just waiting for another one now.

I needed to make a card for the butterfly
challenge, and the theme this fortnight is
Autumn Butterflies, so here is my effort.

This is a 8"x8" size card.
The card and image used is a Hunkydory
Autumn Butterfly one from about 3 years ago.
The image came in 3 sections so I used
mounting foam on the center piece to raise it up,
but it doesn't show in the photo.
I cut out my butterflies and coloured them with
Rusty Hinge, Pine Needles, DI, and also
Archival Ink Potting Soil.
I added some gold stickles to them too.
I also cut out my leaves, with some snippets card,  and distress inked some, and used stickles and Cosmic Shimmer Iced Snow Glitter on them.
The inside corners were made from the left
over pieces of the front corners, and one I had
used before.

Thank you so much for your visit and the
wonderful comments you make.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

I would like to enter the following challenges.

A4 WEDDING CARD AND BOX

Hi and a very warm welcome to everyone that
stops here for a visit.
I am so very grateful for your visit, and the wonderful comments you make.

Today I am showing you a wedding card my
daughter asked me to make for a work colleague,
who was getting married.
Now she wanted an A4 size so everyone of the
staff could sign it.
Now those of you that know me, know I love
to incorporate the colour that the bridesmaids
are wearing in my cards.
So here is what I came up with.

I thought as there were a lot of people to sign
it, I would put DL cards inside for everyone to
sign, and that way it wouldn't spoil the card.

Now the box.

This is a A4 size card made out of Centura Snow
White Pearl A3 card.
I used my embossing folder that came with the
EBosser.
I edged all the card with blue ink.
The wedding couple are from a copyright free
book I have, and I printed them onto Centrura
Pearl card, and decoupaged them too.
I decorated her dress with a few sequins from
my stash.

Thank you again for your visit and time.
Lots of crafty love. JENNY.

RUDOLF DAY JUNE 2014

Hi and welcome to my little part of blog land.
Thank you for your visit, and precious time
visiting me.
May I say thank you also for all your wonderful
comments you make on my work.

Today I am posting my entries into the Rudolf
Challenge for June over at Sarns lovely blog.

These are both 8"x8" size cards.
I used the Debbi Moore Penguin Pals CD for
the images and papers.
I stamped the verses inside the cards, and on the
front of the pink one, I heat embossed it with
Silver Pearl Embossing Powder.
I used up some snippets from my snippets box
for some of the die cuts.
Thank you again for your visit.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

ENGAGEMENT CARD

Hi and welcome to my blog all my craft loving
friends, and visitors.
This will be a quick post as I can't look at the
computer screen for too long without being in
a lot of pain.

My daughter and her partner got engaged yesterday, so I made this card.
I can craft for small periods.

Now the inside.

Ingredients.
A3 card made into an 8"x8" size card.
I made the flowers from some bridal petals I
found in my stash, and coloured them with
Wild Honey Distress Ink.
I did the same to the lovely pearlecent card, and
then embossed it with the Sue Wilson embossing
folder Art Deco Fanfare.
I used some snippets from my snippets box for
some of the die cuts.

Thank you again for your visit and time.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

SHABBY CHIC CARD

Hi and welcome to my blog, all my craft loving
friends, and visitors.
Well here we are again it's the weekend, I do
hope you are all enjoying the Sunshine where
ever you may live.
It is wonderful in my part of Kent, lots of spring
flowers poking their heads out of my pots.
So maybe spring is on it's way, but don't hold
your breath all could change as it snowed in
late March last year.
Oh no I have said the S word. lol.

Thank you for all your really great comments
on my box.

Today I have a shabby chic card, now I don't
very often make one of these, but I was watching
C and C last week, as me and hubby do every
morning while drinking our first cup of tea, and
we saw Nancy demonstrating this lovely CD.
So I was tempted into buying it, and here is
the result.

Now the inside.

This is a 8"x8" size card.
The papers and the image are from the My Craft
Studio Shabby CDs.
I distressed the edges with scissors as Nancy did,
as I haven't a distress tool.
I decoupaged the image and the flowers, then I
added some peach leaves, and some die cut bitty
blossoms made with a contrast printed card.
I then added some string pearls from my stash,
and lastly a stick pin I made last year.
I do hope you like my effort.

Thank you again for sparing your precious
time to visit me.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

A4 WEDDING CARD AND BOX

Hi and welcome to all my talented craft friends,
and visitors.
Thank you for all your lovely comments on my
last card.

Well it's Sunday, and I can't wait to show you one
of the wedding cards I made for a customer, as
the big day was yesterday.
The lady who ordered these lives in South Wales,
and I was asked to make them as she had seen my
work at my Dad's lady friends house. When I have
made her cards.

Now the inside.

Now the box.

This is a A4 size card and box.
I was instructed to use Ivory and Gold as the
brides dress was that colour, and she likes lots
of glitter.
The bridal couple were from a copyright book,
which I photo copied, and printed on Centura
Ivory Pearl Card.
I decoupaged the veil and bow, and added some
gold flowers and ivory pearls.
I used my A4 embossing folder that came with
my E Bosser.
Now this is the first time I have made an A4 box.

Thank you again for your visit and time.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

HEARTFELT CREATIONS BURST OF SPLENDOR NO 2

Hi to all my craft loving friends and visitor to
my blog.
I do hope you have all had a fabulous weekend.
As I have traveled through most of your blogs
today I see most of you have had some rain.
Well I'm still waiting for the rain here, my poor old water butt is dying of thirst. lol.
I really don't know why but we don't seem to
get as much rain as the rest of you.
I know this seems like I'm moaning but my
grass is dying, and as I'm on a water meter it
costs me money to use the hose, and I would
rather spend that money on crafting goodies. lol.

My card today is another one I have made from
The Heartfelt Creations Burst of Splendor Paper.

Now the inside.

This an 8x8 size card.
I distressed the edge of my white card with
Spun Sugar Distress Ink, I also distressed the
pink card with Peeled Paint Distress Ink on
two sides of the card and Spun Sugar again to
the other two sides trying to copy the
distressing on the paper.
I'm not sure whether I like this or not, I think
it makes the pink card look dirty.
What do you think ?
My design of the pyramid of die cuts were an
idea of the lovely Linda Burrows from
Creative Harmony blog a while back.
Thank you for the inspiration Linda and I hope
to see you back blogging again soon as I miss
your lovely creations.
The pyramid is done with your Spellbinders
Parisian Accents Die, cutting the border bar
off the 2nd,3rd and so on layers, and gluing
together.
I added some lace and seam binding I had
coloured with Spun Sugar Distress Ink.
A few AB pearls and some decoupaged
flowers cut out of the paper.

Thank you for your visit, and comments, they
mean so much to me.
Sorry the explanation of the card was so long winded.
I hope you all have great crafty insperations,
always for all your personal creations.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

HEARTFELT CREATIONS CARD

Hi and good afternoon to all you talented craft
loving friends and visitors to my blog.
I do hope you are having a pleasant Sunday.
Thank you for all your comments on my last
card.
I really do appreciate your time and comments.

For a while I have been wanting the Burst of
Splendor paper pad from Heartfelt Creations.
So luckily my hubby said the other day I could
buy it, and this is what I have made with it.
The picture in the frame is of my mother when
she was young.

Now the inside.

My mother was always decoupaging flowers
from old Birthday cards onto photos before
putting them in a frame.
So as I was using a photo of my mother I
thought I would follow her example.
My card is an 8x8 size.
As I didn't have quite the colour card I needed
for this I distressed my card with Peeled Paint
Distress Ink, I also did this to matt and layering
card only this time I used Wild Honey Distress
Ink.
I'm not sure I think I should have used Antique
Linen instead. What do you think ?
I decoupaged the corner of the paper pad, and
cut out the smaller flowers from elsewhere in
the paper to go round my mother's photo.

Thank you again for your visit.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

90th BIRTHDAY CARD

Good evening to all you wonderfully talented blog friends and
visitors.
THANK YOU for your recent visits and comments.
I really do love reading them all so much.
I also love to visit your blogs and look at your wonderful
creations. We are all so very different in our styles and ideas.

I have had a wonderful lunch with my ladies from my club.
We needed to use up funds that were left in the bank and thought
a couple of lunches would be a great way to do this.

Tonight I have a card I made 2 years ago, and have never shown
on the blog. It was shown on Create and Craft once when I
e mailed it on a Sue Wilson's Spellbinders show. That day I won
a Sue original as I was lucky enough to be drawn out of the
cup of chance.
I made the roses with my Cricut Machine as in those days I
didn't have a rose die. I also coloured the ribbon to match the
card colour with my stamping inks I have.

My roses are nowhere as good as Patricia's of Summerhouse
crafts,  but in those days I thought I was very clever using a
different flower  off the George Basic cartridge. I soon learned
when I started my blog how good you all are at creating these
things with dies.

Now I would like to show you a picture of my Camellia that
has just flowered. Such a pretty flower shape.

Would love to be able to make a similar one in paper.
Thank you again for your visit.
I do hope you all have had a really great day.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

RAINY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN

Good morning to all you wonderful and talented crafts people
and visitors.
I am back home from visiting my Dad in Wales.
Sorry about the rush of my departure but my sister was quite
worried about him and thought I should see him.
He is a little bit better now but who knows at the age of 93.
Thank you for all your kind wishes and thoughts, you are such
a wonderful caring craft community.
I am so glad to be able to be part of it.

I am glad to be back as I have developed a nasty cold and I
wouldn't want to give it to my Dad as a cold virus thing started
everything off and has developed into all sorts of other problems
for him.

My card today is one I made last night, the image is one I picked
as my prize for winning in the Penny's blog challenge.
It's a Saturated Canary image and I fell in love with this image
as soon as I saw it.

Now the inside.

The papers are Dovecraft The London Line.
The pink card is from Cupcake Craft and the mint colour card
is Dovecraft double sided card.
The lovely lace was given to me by the wonderful Sue P.
The ribbon was bought for me by my sister.
The image is Saturated Canary coloured in with Promarkers.
I have used the Grand Scolloped Die and the Grand Oval Die,
and of course the small butterfly from the Fanciful Flights Die.
Thank you again for your visit.
I hope you all have a wonderful day today.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY,
