Hi and welcome to cardsarus blog spot
My name is Jenny Lawrence and I live in Kent.
My dear and wonderful husband Tony passed away in March 2019
We had been married for 36 years. I also lost my first Husband to the big C when I was quite young. I have 3 children and 3 stepchildren. 12 Grandchildren and 5 Great Granddaughters and 3 Great Grandsons. I have been card making for about 25 years.
I have made things all my life as my Mum and Grand Mother taught me lots of hobbies.
I have made my own clothes, knitted garments, hand embroidered items of clothing, and crocheted items too.
I love to bake my own cakes as well.
Hi and welcome to my blog, all my craft loving friends and visitors. I do hope you have had a really good week.
Thank you for all your lovely comments on my last creation. I very much appreciate everyone the you make.
Today I have the box to go with the card. I ran out of the darker blue card so I improvised by colouring my white card with a Tria Marker. The blue card on the banner is the original colour card. So it wasn't a bad match, I think.

Well Christine's dancing did the trick we have had more rain today, lots of it. I just feel for the poor peeps who work, and were looking forward to the last Bank Holiday, till Christmas. I do hope it hasn't spoiled to much of their weekend, especially if they were going away.
My card today is one I was inspired to make yesterday. I hope you like it as I was quite pleased with the finished thing.

This is my usual fav size of 8x8 card. I embossed the white card with my embossing folder I received with my E Bosser. The flower I made a while ago with the rose petals you get for bridal things. I added some beads in the middle of it. Then I folded a doily like you would for a teabag fold then I opened it back up and glued 2 under the flower. I used the Spellbinders Parisian Accents, glued together inside.
Thank you again for your time and visit. I do hope you all continue to have a wonderful BH weekend. To those of you under the weather or in pain, please accept my biggest get well wishes and hugs, and I do hope you will soon be feeling so much better. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.

This is an 8x8 size card. I have not put a sentiment on it as it is not for anyone, so I will add it if and when I need to use it. The paper is Heartfelt Creations Burst of Splendor again, I do love this pad. The digi image is a Pink Gem one , coloured in with Promarkers, and I decoupaged the flowers at the bottom and added some leaves. I have rounded the corners and put a Promarker round the edges of the cards and paper. I die cut the Spellbinders Parisian Accents corners and the other die in the set round the edges of the card both inside and out.
Well that's my creation today. Thank you again for your visit. I do hope you like it. I hope you all have a very crafty day. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
Hi and welcome to my blog my craft loving friends and visitors. Thank you for all the comments on the butterflies. Here is the pattern for those of you that wanted it. I'm no pattern expert so I do hope you can understand my ramblings as the great Sue P would say.
With double knitting wool and a crochet hook make 15 chain sts. Join the chain together. 1st Row. Make 3 triple crochet sts and 4 chain sts between each of the 3 triple crochet sts. Continue like this till you have 8 sets of these in the circle. 2nd Row. Make 3 triple crochet sts into where you have the chan, then 4 chain sts, and 3 more triple crochet sts all in the same hole. Carry on like this till you have gone right round. 3rd Row. Into the chain if the last row, make 8 triple crochet sts then do one double crochet st between the chains. this gives you the scolloped edge. Now when you look at your finished circle it looks like a lovely doily or flower. Fold in half so you have 2 scollops either side. put you pipe cleaner round and twist for the antenna. I added a couple of beads for the end. I do hope you can follow my poor tutorial of this. These are the butterflies.
Thank you again for your visit. I hope you have a really great crafty day. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.

Hi to all my craft loving friends and visitor to my blog. I do hope you have all had a fabulous weekend. As I have traveled through most of your blogs today I see most of you have had some rain. Well I'm still waiting for the rain here, my poor old water butt is dying of thirst. lol. I really don't know why but we don't seem to get as much rain as the rest of you. I know this seems like I'm moaning but my grass is dying, and as I'm on a water meter it costs me money to use the hose, and I would rather spend that money on crafting goodies. lol.
My card today is another one I have made from The Heartfelt Creations Burst of Splendor Paper.

This an 8x8 size card. I distressed the edge of my white card with Spun Sugar Distress Ink, I also distressed the pink card with Peeled Paint Distress Ink on two sides of the card and Spun Sugar again to the other two sides trying to copy the distressing on the paper. I'm not sure whether I like this or not, I think it makes the pink card look dirty. What do you think ? My design of the pyramid of die cuts were an idea of the lovely Linda Burrows from Creative Harmony blog a while back. Thank you for the inspiration Linda and I hope to see you back blogging again soon as I miss your lovely creations. The pyramid is done with your Spellbinders Parisian Accents Die, cutting the border bar off the 2nd,3rd and so on layers, and gluing together. I added some lace and seam binding I had coloured with Spun Sugar Distress Ink. A few AB pearls and some decoupaged flowers cut out of the paper.
Thank you for your visit, and comments, they mean so much to me. Sorry the explanation of the card was so long winded. I hope you all have great crafty insperations, always for all your personal creations. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
Hi and welcome to my blog dear friends and visitors. Sorry I have been AWOL for a day or so, but I have had family staying with us for a few days, and also I had an appointment for my eye problem in Canterbury on Wednesday. I have been referred back to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford for a discussion on having eye surgery, which I'm not at all happy about. But hey if they can cure my problem with it then I suppose I should give it a try. I have not mentioned that my eyes have been getting steadily worse over the last 3 months. I now have to sit right in front of the TV, or peoples faces are distorted, to the right of their face, and as I had to have a new prescription for reading glasses within six months of the last one, it was suggested that I need to been seen by an eye surgeon. On a happier note it doesn't seem to affect my crafting yet, but when I visit your blogs I have to enlarge the print so I can read it.
Today I have a 3rd Mr Fix it card I made for my stepdaughter's husband. He is a builder by trade so was very pleased with it.

This is an 8x8 size card. The image is a Mo Manning one coloured in with Promarkers. The papers used were from The Forever Friends The Good Life Pack. The embellishments were again buttons bought from the NEC in March. I added a washer and screw nut, this idea came from the lovely Sue Bearhouse's blog a while back. Thank you Sue for all your inspiration.
Thank you again for your visit, and comments, I do hope I haven't bored you with my eye problem. I do hope you all have a fabulous weekend. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
Hi and good afternoon to all you talented craft loving friends and visitors to my blog. I do hope you are having a pleasant Sunday. Thank you for all your comments on my last card. I really do appreciate your time and comments. For a while I have been wanting the Burst of Splendor paper pad from Heartfelt Creations. So luckily my hubby said the other day I could buy it, and this is what I have made with it. The picture in the frame is of my mother when she was young.

My mother was always decoupaging flowers from old Birthday cards onto photos before putting them in a frame. So as I was using a photo of my mother I thought I would follow her example. My card is an 8x8 size. As I didn't have quite the colour card I needed for this I distressed my card with Peeled Paint Distress Ink, I also did this to matt and layering card only this time I used Wild Honey Distress Ink. I'm not sure I think I should have used Antique Linen instead. What do you think ? I decoupaged the corner of the paper pad, and cut out the smaller flowers from elsewhere in the paper to go round my mother's photo. Thank you again for your visit. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
Hi and good afternoon to all you talented crafty blog friends and visitors to my blog.
THANK YOU for all your comments on my last creation. It was a quickie card, so sorry if today's post is a bit similar, as I didn't have the time to think up a new design, for either one as they were last minute makes. Today's card and box I made for my Son and his wife for a wedding they are attending tomorrow. The colours I used were very similar to their wedding invitation, so I based my card on this.

This is an 8x8 size card. I made the box out of A3 card doubled up for strength. I used plain card as their invitation was on plain card. Then I used the Spellbinders Decorative Grand Circles again. The flourishes were from the Spellbinders Venetian set, and lastly the corners were the Marianne Creatables doubled up of a bit of colour. Thank you again for your visit , time, and comments. Hi and good afternoon or early evening, dear blog friends and visitors. Wow is it HOT! HOT! HOT! where you are. Yesterday was very HOT and I had to go singing, and the venue was upstairs in this particular nursing home. I don't know about you but my brain gets all muddled in the HOT weather, well that's my excuse in any rate. Well you know that my little group of singers are all retired, and we do this to raise funds for The Dame Vera Lynn Charity for children with Cerebral Palsy. Well we had a letter thanking us and saying that we had raised over four thousand pounds so far. I am so glad I have joined them for such a worthy cause.
Thank you for your comments on my Baby Book Card. You all are so very kind to visit me and leave your wonderful comments.
Today I have another Baby Girl Card, both my book one and this one will be sent to Wales to my sister for her granddaughter, who is due her first baby on the 14th August. I just hope it cools a little by the time she goes into labour.
