BUTTERFLY CHALLENGE NO 59......................P IS FOR PUNCHES AND OR/ PINK

Hi and welcome to all my craft loving friends, and visitors.
Just managed to make this today for the Butterfly Challenge.
Now this made me think as I don't have any punches that are butterfly shaped.
I know your all shouting it doesn't have to be a butterfly punch well I knew that, but still I was at a quandary what punch to use, because of a on going  eye problem I can't see to line up the edger punches of which I have a few.
So I had a light bulb moment, and remembered I had a Martha Stewart set of circular punches which were languishing in a bottom draw in my craft room.
So here is my card to enter the challenge.

This is a 8"x8" size card.
I used the Martha Stewart Modern Lace circular punch.
Threaded some ribbon through the design.
The butterfly is a very old wooden stamp I have had for ages, and I heat embossed it with white embossing powder, and then coloured it with Colour  Cloud Inks, and used a Quickie glue pen and Glamour Dust to give it some sparkle.

Thank you so much for your visit, and time.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

ENGAGEMENT CARD

Hi and welcome to all my very talented friends, and visitors.
Thank you so much for your visit, and time.
I very much appreciate every visit you make.
Sorry if I haven't visited anyone yet.  I'm trying to catch up on my comments as I'm having a very busy time at the mo with the up and coming fund raising event at my daughter's works next week.

On Monday I looked after my Grand Children who are on their summer holidays from school.
Before my little Granddaughter broke up from school she asked me to make her a card for her teacher who had just got engaged.
So here is the card I made for her teacher.

This is a 8"x8" size card.
I cut out the front heart shape with birds on my ScanNcut in blue and white and off set them.
I added a blue gliitter background to it.
This I made by spraying aerosol glue and putting glitter all over it on the blue card.
The corners were cut on the ScanNcut also.

Thank you again for your visit.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

OLDIE FOR FRIDAY

Hi and welcome to all my very talented friends, and visitors.

Well it's Friday yet again, and time to share an Oldie with ERIKA HERE.
This is all just for fun, but a wonderful look back on some of your earlier work.
It doesn't have to be a card it can be anything you have created in the past.
So on to mine for this week.
This was a card I made for my Grandson about 3years ago.
Sorry if I have shown it as an Oldie before, as I can't remember if I did.

This is a 8"x8" size card.
The digi image is from Mo Manning, and coloured in with Promarkers, and Flexmarkers.
The papers I think were Dovecraft, but I am not sure.
I quite like my design of this one althougth there is lot going on with the different papers I think it looks okay, what do you think.

Thank you so much for your visit, and time.
I do very much appriciate every visit, and comeent.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

TUTORIAL FOR TISSUE BOX

Hi and welcome to all my very talented friends, and visitors.
My good blog friend Sue asked if I could do a tutorial on my tissue box.
So hopefully you can understand what I have tired to do.
It takes 3 sheets of A4 card.
Sorry it's a bit picture heavy.

You start by measuring your tissue box.
Now I bought mine from Tesco Supermarket and it measures.
Just under5 inches in hieght.
Just under
4 and half inches on one side.
Just under
4 inches on the other side.
You start with 2 sheets of A4 card.
Cut 2 of them to 5 inches along the longer length.
Then score at half an inch, 4 and half inches, and 9inches  on a score board.

For the lid you cut a square just very slightly over 6 and half inches, by just slightly over 6 inches, and score
1 inch in on all sides.
When this is done don't forget to cut you aperture in the lid before glueing the corners as I have done this a few times.
Next glue both sides of the box together.
 To give you this.
This is wht it looks like when the tissue box is in it.
Add your lid, and I put glue in each corner to secure the lid to the base, and decorate how you prefer.

Here is a finished example.

I do hope you can understand my tutorial as I put it together quickly.
I use Creative Expressions PVA glue as that bonds really quickly.
Thank you so much for you visit, and time.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

BUTTERFLY CHALLENGE NO 58 ...........D IS FOR DIMENSIONS AND OR / DENIM

Hi and welcome to all my very talented friends, and visitors.

I spent the day yesterday looking after my Grand Children as it's the summer holidays.
I will be doing this occasionally throughout the summer holidays luckily it's not every day as my DIL only works part time, and she and my Son take their holidays separately so they can look after the children, and grand parents don't have to do much.
They are so thoughtful like that.

Well onto my card for today, to enter the Butterfly Challenge before it ends tomorrow.

This is a 6"x6" size card.
Now I really struggled with this challenge as I didn't have any denim colour card so I sanded  down some Navy card to make it look more like denim.
I added a pull string white petal on a roll to make the flower, and then added a lace butterfly on top for the dimensions part.
Used a white gel pen for the edging around the top matting shape.
I do hope it looks okay to you all.

Thank you so much for your visit and the wonderful comments you make.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

RUDOLF CHALLENGE JULY 2016..... DESIGN TEAM CARD

Hi and welcome to all my very talented friends, and visitors.
Back last year I was entering the Rudolf Challenge over at SCRAPPYMO'S  blog and she asked for people that would join her Design Team she had quite few people apply so she decided to have all of us as her DT and split us up into, one talented team for the first 6 months and another talented team for the last 6 months.
So I will be providing a DT card for
July, September, November, as my part of her DT.
The challenge runs from the 25th of the month to the end  of the month.

This design card is a kit from CraftsUprint, and you print it off, and put your own little tweaks to it.
I added extra card to make it firm as I hate floppy easel cards.
I also added some poinsettias made from a Robert Addams Die that I won on the Snippets Playground ages ago.
The poinsettias were cut out of snippets of card so I will be joining the Snippets Playground with this as I haven't managed to enter for a few weeks now.

I do hope you can enter a card into the Rudolf Challenge, and visit my Team friends to see their lovely creations.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

ANOTHER TISSUE BOX

Hi and welcome to all my craft loving friends, and visitors.
Thank you so much for your visit, and time.
Well I do hope you are enjoying the lovely weather, and I am so sorry I moaned about it in my previous posts, as I do know some people love the warm and sunny weather.
I must admit it does make one a lot more cheerful than dull, and rainy weather we had in June.

Today I have another tissue box I decorated for the up, and coming fund raising event at my daughter's works.

You make these out of 3 A4 pieces of card.
The lovely lace around the lid, and the lace flowers belonged to my mother, and I inherited them when she passed away 13 years ago, as she collected lots of wonderful things as she was a very keen crafts person, and very talented artist also.
One thing I always remember is her making flowers out of pencil sharpening.

Thank you again for your visit.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

OLDIE FOR FRIDAY

Hi and welcome to all my craft loving friends, and visitors.
Sorry I didn't get around to commenting on every ones blogs yesterday and the day before, but I got so tired I fell asleep while at my computer.
My sister always says I can fall asleep anywhere, just don't sleep well at night so that's my excuse, and I take blood pressure meds which make me very sleepy some days, but strangely not at night.
Hopefully you will forgive my lack of commenting, but I will try hard to catch up today, and tomorrow.

Well I can't believe it's Friday already, and time to share and older creation with ERIKA HERE.
This is all just for fun, but a delightful way to show newer followers your work before they joined you.
So here is mine for this week I made this for the butterfly challenge a few years ago.

This is a 8"x8" size card.
I made this with a Hunkydory kit I bought about 4 years ago.
I die cut the leaves, and added stickles to them, and I also die cut the butterflies and inked them with a combination of DI to give them their different colours to match the card.

Thank you so much for your visit, and time.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES DT CARD...............MONSTERS AND/ OR ALIENS

Hi and welcome to all my very talented friends, and visitors.
Today I am posting my DT card for
 MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES
challenge blog.
It is the B Teams turn for this fortnight, and our host for
this  challenge is the lovely Tanja, and she has chosen the theme of Monsters, and orAliens.
So we would like to see your lovely creations with either Monsters or Aliens or both.
We have no sponsors for our challenge so it's all for just a top 3 badge, but well worth it, as we love to see your work entered, and visit you.
Now I can tell you I did struggle with this one, as I don't own anything to do with Monsters or Aliens, but the good old internet to my rescue.
I fell in love with this cute Monster, and who could be scared of him.

This is a 8"x8" size card.
I made the backing paper from the image on my 3D2 CD yet again.
This is quite a old CD, and I sure have had my monies worth from using it, as well as it being so useful.
Added glossy accents to the eyeball.
Please pop along and have a look at the lovely creations made by my team mates.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

SHABBY CHIC BIRTHDAY CARD

Hi and welcome to all my very talented friends, and visitors.
How are you coping with the hot weather ?
I am not very good with hot weather it saps all my energy, and I don't sleep too well either even though we have a fan in the bedroom, and live in a bungalow.

Today I have a shabby chic design card I made for my Daughter's Birthday recently.

This is a 8"x8" size card.
I coloured my white base card pink with Colour Cloud Rose Blush Ink.
I then coloured the edges of my paper
with Colour Cloud Fresh Grass Ink, and distressed the edges with scissors.
I coloured my ribbon with the same inks, and the edges of the die cuts.
I made the little flowers with some of the paper.
Added a lacy butterfly, and then splatted watered down gesso all over it.

Thank you so much for your visit, and time.
I very much appreciate every visit, and comment made.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

Hi and welcome to all my very talented friends, and visitors.
Well it's Friday again, and time to share and Oldie with ERIKA HERE.
This is all just for fun, but a great way to show your older projects, and it doesn't have to be a card it can be anything you have posted on your blog before or made some time ago.

Next month it's my step daughter's Anniversary so I thought I would show a card I made for her, and her husband a couple of years ago.

This is a 8"x8" size card.
I letter pressed the  embossing folder with DI Tumbled Glass.
The flowers are a Cheery Lynn Die.

Thank you for your visit, and time.

BIRTHDAY CARD

Hi and welcome to all my craft loving friends, and visitors.
Now I know this is rare for me these days 3 cards in 3 days, but I have so many cards I have made and not shown yet.
So it is my Granddaughter's 4th Anniversary today, but I have already shown her card I made her a few months ago HERE.
It is also my other Granddaughter's Birthday today so here is the card I made her.

This is a 8"x8" size card which is my fave size card.
This comes as a card kit from CraftUprint and you decoupage the flowers, but I just decoupaged the roses, and butterfly.

Thank you so much for your visit, and the wonderful comments you make on my work.
I very much appreciate every one you make.
Lots of crafty love.   JENNY.

This is a 8"x8" size card.
I found a photo on the internet of a car just like the one he owns, and then made my paper using again my 3D2 Decoupage CD to make the paper out of the photo.

BUTTERFLY CHALLENGE 57 ...........Y IS FOR YEARS AND OR YELLOW

Hi and welcome to all my very talented friends, and visitors.
Sorry I have been missing for this last week, but my Son moved house, and I was trying to help as much as I can.
Also if you remember I am trying to make lots of things for the stall I am doing at my Daughter's works fund raising event, and also I have loads of family Birthdays this month.
I also have been asked by family to make cards for them.
Phew I am going to need a rest after all this, but I did find time to make this card for the Butterfly Challenge, and it also will be one for Ellie who has a Birthday later this month.

I used my ScanNcut to cutout a few of the desired shape, and also the paper I printed from a Crafters Companion CD, and glued them together to make them stronger.
I had to flip the design for the inside front.
Had to put magnets on the left hand side of the back so the card wouldn't fall to the right with circle base.

Thank you so much for your visit, and time.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

TRIPLE STAMPING CARD

Hi and welcome to all my very talented friends, and visitors.
Where oh where does the time go I seem to be constantly trying to catch up on everything lately.
On Thursday I had a 24 hour blood pressure monitor attached to my left arm so I found it rather awkward to try and craft or blog.
Well I can tell you I don't want that again as it blistered and bruised all the top of my arm as it went off every half hour in the day and every hour at night.
Well enough of my moans as there are people much worse off than me.

So onto my card this is the first time I have tried triple stamping, and I saw this U Tube HERE
if any of you haven't already tried it.

This is a 5" x5"/ and half inch size card.
The stamps came from the works.
I used Versamark Chalk inks to stamp with.
I was quite pleased how it turned out for my very first attempt.

Thank you for you visit, and time.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.
