HEARTFELT CREATIONS BURST OF SPLENDOR NO 2

Hi to all my craft loving friends and visitor to
my blog.
I do hope you have all had a fabulous weekend.
As I have traveled through most of your blogs
today I see most of you have had some rain.
Well I'm still waiting for the rain here, my poor old water butt is dying of thirst. lol.
I really don't know why but we don't seem to
get as much rain as the rest of you.
I know this seems like I'm moaning but my
grass is dying, and as I'm on a water meter it
costs me money to use the hose, and I would
rather spend that money on crafting goodies. lol.

My card today is another one I have made from
The Heartfelt Creations Burst of Splendor Paper.

Now the inside.

This an 8x8 size card.
I distressed the edge of my white card with
Spun Sugar Distress Ink, I also distressed the
pink card with Peeled Paint Distress Ink on
two sides of the card and Spun Sugar again to
the other two sides trying to copy the
distressing on the paper.
I'm not sure whether I like this or not, I think
it makes the pink card look dirty.
What do you think ?
My design of the pyramid of die cuts were an
idea of the lovely Linda Burrows from
Creative Harmony blog a while back.
Thank you for the inspiration Linda and I hope
to see you back blogging again soon as I miss
your lovely creations.
The pyramid is done with your Spellbinders
Parisian Accents Die, cutting the border bar
off the 2nd,3rd and so on layers, and gluing
together.
I added some lace and seam binding I had
coloured with Spun Sugar Distress Ink.
A few AB pearls and some decoupaged
flowers cut out of the paper.

Thank you for your visit, and comments, they
mean so much to me.
Sorry the explanation of the card was so long winded.
I hope you all have great crafty insperations,
always for all your personal creations.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

Another work of art Jenny. I have that set of dies so may give it a go!! Will do a rain dance for you later!! I know what you mean about being on a meter. With eight horses in residence at the moment we use a fair amount (gulp!) and added to our recent leak, it all adds up !! Have a good day xx

I remember Linda showing is this technique too Jenny. As you say, Let's hope she returns to blogging soon. You have done a great job with this card.

I feel for you about the lack of rain. We are in exactly the same situation - I almost said same boat but that would be no good with no water to float it !!!! We are not on a meter but as you know we also don't have mains water at all and rely on our well. Even when the forecast says rain, being almost in the centre of the country the rain seems to be dumped everywhere before it reaches us and gets absorbed by the hills and mountains en route to us. Sometimes it can be a struggle. Ah well, the joys of living in the country - and it is a joy. Have a good day my crafty friend.

Love and hugs from Christine xx

Morning Jenny, Do you want some of my rainwater !! I think we are getting your share too ha ha. My water butts are all full to bursting, I have a 210 litre, and 2 x 100 litre water butts and I think I could fill double these where I live. Can we do a swap !! I would love some more sun instead of rain, rain, rain ha ha.
Your card is stunning, gorgeous, gorgeous papers, lovely embellies and die-cuts, stunning colours, I love it.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Good morning Jenny,
An absolutely "Stunning" card, I love everything about it. These Heartfelt papers are a joy just on their own. Your use of the dies has certainly given the whole thing a wonderful look.
I really wish I could ship some of our rain down your way. Water is such an everyday thing you tend to forget how much we need it. This year up here in our neck of the woods I think we have had a good balance. Well, my farmer neighbour seems happy. We watched the "Combine Harvester" working the field outside our kitchen window last night. Still working a 11pm with all the lights of the machinery on it was like Alien Space craft moving around the field.
Have a Great Day
