Hi and welcome to cardsarus blog spot
My name is Jenny Lawrence and I live in Kent.
My dear and wonderful husband Tony passed away in March 2019
We had been married for 36 years. I also lost my first Husband to the big C when I was quite young. I have 3 children and 3 stepchildren. 12 Grandchildren and 5 Great Granddaughters and 3 Great Grandsons. I have been card making for about 25 years.
I have made things all my life as my Mum and Grand Mother taught me lots of hobbies.
I have made my own clothes, knitted garments, hand embroidered items of clothing, and crocheted items too.
I love to bake my own cakes as well.
Hi and welcome to my blog all my craft loving friends, and visitors. A special welcome to my newest follower, and THANK YOU SOOOOO! much for choosing to visit me, and I hope you come back to see what I'm up to often.
Thank you so much for all your time and comments on my last card. I very much appreciate every one that is made.
Today I have another snippets card, but it was inspired by the Pink Gem Challenge, more than one fold.

Now the front.
This is a 5"x5' size card, made with the left over snippets of my last Halloween card. Even the front aperture was from the last card. I distress inked the tags with Wild Honey Distress Ink as I ran out of the orange card. I used a black Promarker round the edges of the tags too.
Thank you again for your visit. I do hope everyone has a wonderful day. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
Hi and welcome to my blog all my craft loving friends, and visitors. Well the storm hit us and we survived without any damage thank goodness. I feel for anyone who wasn't so lucky as us. I had a very restless night though as the noise kept waking me up.
My card today is for the Pixies Playground Snippets challenge, as it was made out of snippets. I still find it amazing what you can create out of snippets.

This is a 6'x6' size card. I embossed my snippets card with my embossing folder that came with my E Bosser Then I stamped the image on another snipptes bit of card, and coloured it in with Promarkers. I added some cosmic shimmer glue dots in red. The sentiment stamp was a bargain from Papermania stamps set of 9 stamps for £1-99 I do love a bargain and these are excellent stamps for the price. I bought it at the Works. I used a red Promarker round the edges of the embossed card and the stamped image.
Thank you again for you visit and time. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
Hi and welcome to all my craft loving friends and visitors. I am sorry I have been missing for a while, but I have had family come to visit, from up north, and you know what it's like when you all get together after a long absence.
I also had to finish a commission for 2 wedding cards and boxes. The lady who ordered them wanted an A4 size card for the one so I had to get my thinking cap on to make the box to go with it. Not made that size before. I was quite pleased how they turned out, but can't show them yet till the wedding day.
I had a little craft time yesterday so I made this Halloween card.

This is a 8'x8' Size card. The Halloween Calendar is from the Pink Gem web site. I won their challenge in September and this is one of the images I chose. The web doily is from a Martha Stewart Circle Punch. The Halloween bits I bought from Waitrose.
Thank you again for your visit. I do hope you all have had fun creating while I have been away. Will be round to see what you are all posting shortly. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
Hi and welcome to all my craft loving friends, and visitors. Thank you soooooooo! much for all your good wishes about my eye op. I have decided to listen to music and listening books while having to do the posture thing for 5 days, that should take away the boredom. lol.
Thank you also for all your really kind comments on my last card. I have had a commission come in for 2 Wedding Cards and Boxes, and also a Golden Wedding Anniversary Card and Box. So I am eager to get these finished in case I get called in for the op, so excuse me if I miss commenting on your super creations at some time in the next week or so.
My card today is an Autumnal Card.

This is a 6"x6" size card. The paper used was from a few lovely snippets of paper that I inherited from my Aunt after she passed away. I just copied the small piece so I could use it inside my card, because you know how I love to have the inside to match. The owl is a Tattered Lace Die I bought at Hobbycraft last week, I saw it and had to have it, as you do. lol. I made my rosette with my Hougie Board. The ribbon and leaf charm I won on a blog hop last year.
Thank you again for your visit. I hope you all have a wonderful crafty day. Anyone not feeling to well at this moment, I am sending big Get Well wishes, and hugs, your way. Lots of love. JENNY.
Hi and welcome to my blog all my very talented friends and visitors.
May I welcome my newest members to my blog, and thank you for choosing to follow me. I do hope you like what I have to offer and return often.
Well I had an appointment about my eye probs today. Will be having an op on my left eye within the next 18 weeks. The only downside to this op is I have to sit with my top of my body bent over a table for 5 fays after the op with a break of 10 mins every hour. Then they are still not really sure of the outcome as they have never seen my 2 fold problem, they have dealt with the one but not the 2 before. So I suppose I am the guinea pig for others that come along, maybe or am I unique. lol. I always thought they broke the mould when they made me. lol. Well enough of this waffling just wanted to let you know that I will be off air so to speak when it all goes on.
My card is made with one of my old wooden Christmas stamps. Sorry about the cutting out it is awful.

This is a 6"x6" size card. I used my pigment ink again and stamped the background card, and then Mica powdered it with a soft brush. I used another snippet of red card left over from previous cards. I stamped my image and coloured him in with Promarkers. I used Glossy Accents on the boots, but it doesn't look that good in the photo.
Thank you again for your visit. I hope you all have a wonderful crafty day. Lots of love. JENNY.
Hi and welcome to my blog all my craft loving friends and visitors.
Sorry I haven't been around for a few days I was a bit under the weather, all this damp has made my Arthritis play up so I thought I would have a few days rest. I suffer with Osteoarthritis and have it in my spine so sometimes it affects my neck and lower back quite nastily if its' damp. I will get around to looking in on your blogs today, hopefully.
Thank you for all your recent comments on my Scary Mary Keepsake Box. I very much appreciate them all.
I managed to craft a little yesterday, and this is what I made for the Pixies Snippetts Challenge.

This is a 6"x6" size card. I stamped all around the edge of the card with a stamp my Niece lent me, coloured in the berries with a Promarker. I stamped the Poinsettia stamp all over the red bit of snippetts card with pigment ink, and then brushed it all over with Mica Powder. I stamped the Poinsettia stamp onto a bit of snippetts card again, and coloured the image in with Promarkers again. This is a really beautiful set of stamps my Niece lent me. She was the one that got me into card making about 12 years ago. I do hope you have all had a fab weekend. Thank you again for your time and visit. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.

Thank you for all your comments on my last card. I do appreciate your time, visiting me and making your comments, as I know we all lead busy lives.
My card today is for Pixie Snippets Playground. I made the snow scene with bits of left over card, and I used Polar White Flower Soft for the snow. Now I wanted to do a sky, but I'm afraid my distress inks were not the right colour, so think of it as a night sky or early evening so I added some stickles to represent stars.

This is a 5"x5" scolloped card. The clouds were given to me by the lovely Sue P. I have had the snowman and reindeer with the googly eyes for about 3 years. I think they were from Tesco.

This is a 8"x8" size card. The image was from a Cd my hubby bought me from e Bay. The papers are from a Crafters Companion Floaral 1 CD I have cut into the Spellbinders 5x7 Elegant Labels 4 to make a frame for the image. I added some lace and pearls from my stash. Now you may notice I have stamped my verse inside as both my printers are on strike. lol. Blooming printers I have just about had enough of them, they are driving me and my hubby mad. lol.

This is a 6"x6" size card. The actual base card was made from the left over card from my 8"x8" size cards. The paper is from the Joanna Sheen Baby Love CD. I used this piece on a Baby Girl Book card I made my sister a while back. So this what was left for my snippets. It didn't quite fit the card so I put a piece of silver mirri card between and that was also a piece left over from the book card. I then covered it with lace and ribbon. The beautiful cute image is from a Cd my hubby bought me from e bay. The die cuts around the image are from the freebie Christmas Tree Die I had with a craft magazine. Just cut away the top and slotted the bottom end over the image. I think it makes a rather lovely frame. I then added some roses, and pearls from my stash. Thank you again for your visit. I hope you all have a wonderful crafty day. Lots of crafty love. JENNY. I would like to enter this into the following challenges. http://pixiescraftyworkshop.blogspot.co.uk/ Snippets Playground Week 92.
