Hi and welcome to cardsarus blog spot
My name is Jenny Lawrence and I live in Kent.
My dear and wonderful husband Tony passed away in March 2019
We had been married for 36 years. I also lost my first Husband to the big C when I was quite young. I have 3 children and 3 stepchildren. 12 Grandchildren and 5 Great Granddaughters and 3 Great Grandsons. I have been card making for about 25 years.
I have made things all my life as my Mum and Grand Mother taught me lots of hobbies.
I have made my own clothes, knitted garments, hand embroidered items of clothing, and crocheted items too.
I love to bake my own cakes as well.
Hi and welcome to my blog, all my craft loving friends ,and visitors. A big welcome to my newest follower, and thank you for choosing to follow me. I do hope you pop back often to see what I am posting.
I was overwhelmed by you wonderful comments on my last 2 creations. It was well worth all the hard work creating that word book. I forgot to say I didn't use a book template that you are able to buy, I made mine with some large Alphabet templates I own, and I did all the measurements for this my self, and cut out the letters by hand, as someone had asked about it. I made 7 of these such books in different colours about 4 years ago for my children for Christmas, but in my excitement I forgot to photograph them.
Now today I have a card I have made for the 2nd butterfly challenge for this fortnight which you will find HERE . In this fortnights challenge you have to use 3 bs Butterfly, Button, and a Bow, so here is my attempt.

So think this means by the end of the year you will have at least 24 Christmas cards already made. YAY this has to be a winner in my book, as I leave my cards till the last minute every year. lol. I can also join in the Snippets Playground as I have used some snippets in both of these. Sorry but there are a few photos in this post.

The papers for these were printed onto card, and from a Debbie Moore CD called The Crackerbox Mice. I do love the image of that mouse with the full tum after eating all that figgy pud. lol. Now I think we can all relate to this at sometime over the festive season. lol.
Thank you again for your visit and time. I do hope you like my work. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
Hi and welcome to my blog, all my craft loving friends, and visitors. Well here we are again it's the weekend, I do hope you are all enjoying the Sunshine where ever you may live. It is wonderful in my part of Kent, lots of spring flowers poking their heads out of my pots. So maybe spring is on it's way, but don't hold your breath all could change as it snowed in late March last year. Oh no I have said the S word. lol.
Thank you for all your really great comments on my box.
Today I have a shabby chic card, now I don't very often make one of these, but I was watching C and C last week, as me and hubby do every morning while drinking our first cup of tea, and we saw Nancy demonstrating this lovely CD. So I was tempted into buying it, and here is the result.

This is a 8"x8" size card. The papers and the image are from the My Craft Studio Shabby CDs. I distressed the edges with scissors as Nancy did, as I haven't a distress tool. I decoupaged the image and the flowers, then I added some peach leaves, and some die cut bitty blossoms made with a contrast printed card. I then added some string pearls from my stash, and lastly a stick pin I made last year. I do hope you like my effort.
Thank you again for sparing your precious time to visit me. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.

Now another view of the box.
When I make my 8"x8" boxes out of A3 box board I have a 6" piece left over from the top, and bottom so I cut this down to 6"x6" square to make this box. I made the flower on top the other day, so this box took me just over an hour to make. I used my Tonic Diamond Swing punch to edge the box, with some card from my snippets box, and added some pearly bits from my stash. I die Cit 4 Spellbinders Parisian Corners and added more pearls, and wallah you have a lovely box. Hope you like it. Thank you again for sparing your precious time to visit my bog. Lots of crafty love. JENNY. I would like to enter this into the following challenges. http://pixiescraftyworkshop.blogspot.co.uk/2014/02/pixies-snippets-playground-week-112.html

Well I started going back to my singing practice yesterday afternoon, as I haven't been since Christmas. I had a very lovely welcome back, and we are performing this afternoon at a nursing home. I soon realized how much I had missed singing, and my wonderful singing mates.
Today I have a card I was asked to make for a 1 year old niece.

This is an 8"x8" size card. The butterfly paper is from a Crafters Companion CD called Cute Companions Volume 1. I used a Tonic Die Diamond Swing Ovals for the inside and the front of the card. The corner little butterflies are cut from a Tattered Lace Die called Chantilly Petal. The flowers I made from my Heartfelt Creations Majestic Blossoms Die. The Ivy is a Creative Expressions Stamp, and I coloured it with water colour pencils and cut it out. The large butterfly is a Spellbinders Fanciful Flight Die, now this die doesn't come with a solid back so I cut around the die to make this.
Thank you again for sparing your precious time visiting me. I do hope this dreadful weather hasn't affected any of you. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
