SHABBY CHIC CARD

Hi and welcome to my blog, all my craft loving
friends, and visitors.
Well here we are again it's the weekend, I do
hope you are all enjoying the Sunshine where
ever you may live.
It is wonderful in my part of Kent, lots of spring
flowers poking their heads out of my pots.
So maybe spring is on it's way, but don't hold
your breath all could change as it snowed in
late March last year.
Oh no I have said the S word. lol.

Thank you for all your really great comments
on my box.

Today I have a shabby chic card, now I don't
very often make one of these, but I was watching
C and C last week, as me and hubby do every
morning while drinking our first cup of tea, and
we saw Nancy demonstrating this lovely CD.
So I was tempted into buying it, and here is
the result.

Now the inside.

This is a 8"x8" size card.
The papers and the image are from the My Craft
Studio Shabby CDs.
I distressed the edges with scissors as Nancy did,
as I haven't a distress tool.
I decoupaged the image and the flowers, then I
added some peach leaves, and some die cut bitty
blossoms made with a contrast printed card.
I then added some string pearls from my stash,
and lastly a stick pin I made last year.
I do hope you like my effort.

Thank you again for sparing your precious
time to visit me.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

Hi and good morning to all my wonderful talented followers and
visitors.
THANK YOU for stopping by and leaving such wonderful
comments on my work.
I feel like doing a happy dance every time I read them.

Today I am bringing back my card I made for Dawns Breast
Awareness Challenge  a few weeks ago.
The reason I am doing this is I made the card for the challenge, and then put the finished card in my box where I keep my made  cards.
When my daughter and her partner were here the other day I was
showing them the cards I had made recently.
Well my daughter's partners sister is fighting breast cancer at the
moment and having lots of treatment.
So as soon as they saw the card they said could they have it for
her, which I was more than pleased to do.
I have now made a box to go with the card to be posted, so I thought I would put them both on my blog today.
I am so glad this card is going to someone who deserves it.

Click on the photo to get a closer look.
 Now the card.

The inside.

The card is an 8x8 card with a box to match.
I used The Special Touch Mask in a A4 size to emboss the pink
card.
I made the Breast Cancer Ribbon out of paper and decorated it.
I also made the roses on the box from the Spellbinders Bitty
Blossoms Die.
Sorry it's a bit of a long post today
Thank you again for your visit to my blog.

Have a wonderful crafty day everyone.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

Happy Anniversary

  Hi everyone,
may I say a big THANK YOU to every lovely person who has joined my blog, and everyone who
has commented on my creations.

Today's card is one I made for my sisters Wedding Anniversary in July. Next year is her big 50th one.
I started with an 8x8 card made out of Crafters Companion A3 White Pearlised Card.
I matted and layered it with silver mirror card and mint pearlised paper with roses embossed on it.
I used some lovely lace again that I inherited from my mother. Flat back mint pearls from my stash.
Spellbinders lacy circles, Parisian Motif, Parisian Corners, Bitty Blossoms to make the roses out of
the left over paper. This paper makes lovely roses, the dark green card to make the leaves, and white to make the leaf spray, form Spellbinders foliage dies. The ivy was from Hobby Craft. A large organza
bow with button in the middle. The paerlised hearts were from eBay. This was a quickie so I had to
put a peel off for the sentiment, as I was in the middle of making my granddaughter's wedding cards.
Oh and I forgot Glossy Accents for the drops of water on the leaves and flowers.
I hope you like it.
