Hi and welcome to cardsarus blog spot
My name is Jenny Lawrence and I live in Kent.
My dear and wonderful husband Tony passed away in March 2019
We had been married for 36 years. I also lost my first Husband to the big C when I was quite young. I have 3 children and 3 stepchildren. 12 Grandchildren and 5 Great Granddaughters and 3 Great Grandsons. I have been card making for about 25 years.
I have made things all my life as my Mum and Grand Mother taught me lots of hobbies.
I have made my own clothes, knitted garments, hand embroidered items of clothing, and crocheted items too.
I love to bake my own cakes as well.
Hi and welcome to my blog, all my crafting friends, and visitors. May I welcome my newest follower, and thank you for choosing to follow me, and I hope you return many times more to see what I am up to.
May I say a big Thank You for all your comments on my last creation. It really pleases me to think you like my work.
Today I have some more boxes made out of my snippets box. I do hope you like them.

These boxes are the same size as my last one, just 4"x4". The one on the left I used some old peel offs on some snippets card and cut around it and layered it. The one on the right was decorated with die cuts that I had cut out for another project and not used. So you see I am recycling lots of my old bits, and pieces. It's just amazing what you can make with snippets, and of course I will be entering this into the Playground Snippets challenge also.
Thank you for your visit and time. I do hope you are all having a fab week so far. I expect you are all busy with C shopping at the mo. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.

They are Tattered Lace Chantilly Flourish, Chantilly Bow, and Chantilly Rose Border, round my sentiment.

The little craft fair I did with my niece wasn't a very good success. Not many peeps came only a few that were connected with the disabled club she attends and their friends. Still it was a nice afternoon with lots of lovely disabled people who were really lovely jolly, and friendly.
Today I have one of the little boxes I made for the fair. This was made from my snippets left over after I make my boxes for the 8"x8" size cards. So you know by now what challenge this is going into. I do love this challenge, and I have made such a lot of new blog friends by entering it.

This is a 4"x4" size box. I made the flower on top by gluing coloured rose petals together, and adding some small beads in the center. Underneath the flower I layered some doilies. Round the edge of the box I glued some Spellbinders Parisian Border Die cuts.
Thank you again for your visit, and time. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
Hi and welcome to my blog all my craft loving friends, and visitors. Well hasn't the weather been awfully wet this week Just the right weather for you Mrs Duck. lol.
Thank you for all your comments and your time. I really do appreciate everyone that is made. Sorry I have been missing again, but I had quite a few commissions to make, as well as things for the craft fair, that is tomorrow, so I should be back to normal soon. I know I can hear you saying what's normal. lol.
Now I have the other Wedding card and Box, I made for a commission a few weeks ago. This was for the Grandmother to give.

The box.
This is a 8"x8" size card and box. The bridesmaids were wearing cream and brown, so I incorporated this into the card. The roses I bought from Hobbycraft, and were just cream so I painted the edges with a gold Sakura Pental Touch Pen and the put stickles on top.
Thank you again for your visit. I do hope you are all having a great week despite the horrible weather, at least it's not snowing, well not in Kent. lol. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
Hi and welcome to my blog all my talented friends, and visitors. I am so sorry I have been missing again, but as some of you suggested I have had quite a few orders when my daughter's colleagues saw my Baby Card. I also have been making milk carton boxes for the craft fair on Saturday. Originally I was only going to help my niece with her stall, but my sister in law suggested I take some of my craft things as well. Now my niece is disabled and makes brilliant cards, so I didn't want more of the same thing on the stall so I was in a quandary what to do till I was visiting Carole Zorro's blog and she had these lovely milk cartons on there. You will find her blog HERE please try and make her a visit as she makes wonderful cards, and other fabulous projects.
So here is what I have been working on.
Now I made all these with the Lidl card I bought a few weeks ago, just adding a few embellies. This card was slightly bigger than A4., and there was 30 sheets of it for the gorgeous price of £1-99. So I do hope they get some more in soon. I have also made some jewellery boxes out of snippets, so I will show them next week.
Thank you again for your visit and comments, I really do appreciate your time spent visiting me. Hopefully I will manage to get round to visting you also, with the heavy work load I have at the moment. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
Hi and welcome to my very talented followers, and visitors. I am so sorry I haven't been about for a few days. I am trying to get a lot of crafty projects ready for a craft fair I am doing with my niece, next weekend, and time has just ran away with me. In between I was asked to make a Baby Card for my daughter, as one of her Co workers wife has had a Baby Boy, and she wanted an A4 size card so they could all put their congratulations in it. So this is what I made, this fulfills 2 things as the blue die cuts and the corners were made form snippets off other cards I have made, so I can enter it into the Pixies Playground Challenge, Yay.

This is an A4 size card. The papers and the image are from Joanna Sheens Baby Love CD. I decided to play around with my Spellbinders Grand Scolloped Squares for the design under the image. I cut out 2 squares, and used one in a triangle, and then cut the second up and glued behind the first to give it this pattern. I added some pearls, gems, and little rosebuds from my stash. I glued some cut outs off the Parisian Dies around my sentiment. Then I added a big bow.
Thank you again for your visit and time, and also Thank you for your wonderful comments, on my last card. I do hope you are all having a wonderful crafty weekend. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.

This card is just under 6"x6" size. I made the base card from my snippets left over from when I make an 8"x8" card out of A3 card. I happen to know Christine likes purple. The paper is Papermania Capsule Collection. This is only a one sided paper so I photo copied it on to card, and then photo copied a contrast one on the back to make it double sided. Then I made my flower out of the Heartfelt Creations Sunkissed Fleur Stamp. I had to cut out the flowers by hand as I am waiting for the die to be delivered. I coloured my flowers and leaves with Whisper pens, and then sprayed them with water with Mica Powder in it to give it a slight pearly and sparkle effect. Cautionary tale use gloves for this as I had purple hands for a few days. While the card was wet with mica water I scrunched the edges of the flower to give it the look you now see. I got this idea from the Heartfelt Creations blog that you can find Here.
Thank you again for your visit and time. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
Hi and welcome to all my talented craft friends, and visitors. Thank you for all your lovely comments on my last card. Well it's Sunday, and I can't wait to show you one of the wedding cards I made for a customer, as the big day was yesterday. The lady who ordered these lives in South Wales, and I was asked to make them as she had seen my work at my Dad's lady friends house. When I have made her cards.

Now the box.
This is a A4 size card and box. I was instructed to use Ivory and Gold as the brides dress was that colour, and she likes lots of glitter. The bridal couple were from a copyright book, which I photo copied, and printed on Centura Ivory Pearl Card. I decoupaged the veil and bow, and added some gold flowers and ivory pearls. I used my A4 embossing folder that came with my E Bosser. Now this is the first time I have made an A4 box.
Thank you again for your visit and time. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.

Today I have a card I made with my Burst of Splendor paper.

This is a 8"x8" size card. I distress inked the edges of the white card with Victorian Velvet, and Dusty Concord Distress Inks, that gave it such a lovely colour. I distress inked the matting card and the paper with Dusty Concord too. Now this paper comes double sided so I photocopied the lovely back piece because I wanted to use the border on the bottom of the card. I made the flowers from the same paper. You will find the tutorial for these flowers at the top of my page. I coloured my seam binding ribbon with Pine Needles Distress ink. Wear rubber gloves to do this otherwise you will have green hands for a few days. lol. I haven't put a sentiment on it yet as it's not for anyone, just to go in my collection to be used at a later date.
Thank you for your visit and time. I do hope you are all keeping well. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
