SHABBY CHIC BIRTHDAY CARD

Hi and welcome to all my very talented friends, and visitors.
How are you coping with the hot weather ?
I am not very good with hot weather it saps all my energy, and I don't sleep too well either even though we have a fan in the bedroom, and live in a bungalow.

Today I have a shabby chic design card I made for my Daughter's Birthday recently.

This is a 8"x8" size card.
I coloured my white base card pink with Colour Cloud Rose Blush Ink.
I then coloured the edges of my paper
with Colour Cloud Fresh Grass Ink, and distressed the edges with scissors.
I coloured my ribbon with the same inks, and the edges of the die cuts.
I made the little flowers with some of the paper.
Added a lacy butterfly, and then splatted watered down gesso all over it.

Thank you so much for your visit, and time.
I very much appreciate every visit, and comment made.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges.

Hi Jenny, I don't like this intense, humid weather. We sleep in the converted loft space so there's no escape from the heat. Glad to say a lot cooler today, with a lovely breeze. Beautiful card.....I'm yet to try shabby chic. Janice xx http://createdbyjan.blogspot.com

An absolutely stunning card Jenny. I hope your daughter enjoyed her special day. I also struggle with the heat but our cottage has thick stone walls and so it's much cooler inside than out on hot days. Barbxx

Hi Jenny, the problem is that we are so used to to rain. I think the trick is to not do too much in the intense heat as everything seems like really hard work. Card making is a good option :). Your card is absolutely beautiful. I bet your daughter was thrilled with it. I just love how your cards look so pretty on the inside too. That's a sign of how much care you put into your cards. The colours work beautifully together and your flowers are gorgeous. Crafty hugs, Sandra X

Beautifully designed card with loads of fabulous details- the flowers ribbon pearls and lace are fabulous and feminine and a lovely choice of colours. Love the effect of the spattered gesso
Know what you mean about sleeping in the heat...we're just not used to it!

Totally gorgeous Jenny, inside and out!! Love the colours you have chosen. I really don't like the heat either, nor do the animals, they don't know what to do with themselves, still it's much cooler here tonight xx

Hi Jenny, I love the sunshine, but I'm not coping well at all in this heat and humidity, last night was absolutely awful !! We had the fan going all night in the bedroom but with hardly much effect, and this morning my eyes were all swelled up, thankfully it has cooled off a little. This morning we had massive hailstones (and it was absolutely boiling ??) and torrential rain, it didn't last long though. Hopefully tonight will not be as bad as last night haha.
Your card for your Daughter is really lovely, she will have loved it.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Jenny I have to say we don't often get the heat in our part of the world so not used to it here either. It is still nice to see though and we can always get to the beach where it is cooler.

A beautiful shabby chic card with a lovely soft colour palette.

Hugs Erika. x

Hi Jenny
Wonderful card and colour choice.
Just trying to catch up with comments after trying to get out and about more recently.
I passed on your best to Darnell today and she did miss meeting you.
Muggy nights don't do much for me either.
Take care.
