BUTTERFLY CHALLENGE 57.......Y IS FOR YEARS AND OR YELLOW

Hi and welcome to all my craft loving friends, and visitors.
Today is the start of another
and the theme this time around is Y for years and or yellow.
So as I had something made up in yellow I thought I would enter it, but I don't have any of the years part on it.
It's another one of my tissue boxes which I have been making for the stall I am doing at my daughter's works fund raising event.

These are so easy to make.
For the base it takes 3 A4 sheets of card.
I buy my tissue boxes from the supermarket starting with T, and they measure just under 5" tall, and 4" one side, and 4 and half inches the other side.
I cut down 2 A4 sheets of card to 5" and then I score at half an inch, 4 " and 9 and half inches on my Hougie board.
You cut off the rest that is left over, and glue together.
The lid is slightly over 6" by slightly over 6 and half  inches, and you score one inch around all sides, and this makes the lid.
Don't forget to make your aperture before you glue the sides of the lid as I have done that a few times. LOL.
Then it's ready to decorate how you like.

Thank you so much for your visit, and time as I do know time is very precious to all of us.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

TRYING TO GET MY MOJO BACK

Good morning dear and talented blog friends and visitors.
I do hope you have all had wonderful week, as the weather has
warmed up a little, and that lovely yellow shinny thing in the sky
has made quite a few appearances to warm us up.

THANK YOU for your recent comments on my shopping bag.
As I stated I am trying to find Mr Mojo, as he flew the coupe a
few weeks ago and hasn't made a return yet. lol.
Every morning I eagerly look out of the window to see if he has
nested in a near by tree, but no such luck so far.
I really need him back as I have a 4th Birthday card for my great
granddaughter to do and also a wedding card for my stepson who
has just flown to Las Vegas to get married. Luckily I don't need it
till they get back when we are visiting them for a family
celebration for those that could not go with them.

Today I have a card I started quite a few weeks ago and could
not think how to finish.
Well it's finished now but I am still not too happy with it.

Now the inside.

I used the ribbon weaving on the bottom of the card.
The papers are from The Desert Blooms Pad.
I used a new die I had for my birthday back in March for
the flower in the center and some Stickles Star Dust to glitter
the flower.
Thank you again for you visit and patience with my blog posting.
I do hope you all have a very wonderful and crafty day.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

CATCHING BUTTERFLIES

Good afternoon to all you wonderful and talented craft friends
and visitors.
THANK YOU for all the wonderful comments on my last
card.
I hope the weather has been good to you where you live.
It has been very cold in Kent and windy too, the temperature
hardly got above freezing today.
The yellow thing in the sky that warms us up made a short
appearance for about 15 minutes around lunch time.
It could have given us a few more hours of sunshine now
couldn't it.
Well never mind there's always tomorrow maybe the sun will
shine a little bit longer, but then again it could rain or throw
that horrid white stuff at us.

My card today I made with a freebie image from the Whoopsi
Daisy Images.
I do actually buy some too. lol.

Now the inside.

This card was made with papers from docrafts Papermania
Capsule Collection.
I have used a Martha Stewart punch across the middle and
round the image, the image was coloured in with Flexmarkers.
I have used Di-namics Corner Dies, some beading from my
stash and also the chipboard flower.
The Grand Square Dies for the inside.
The hat pin I made myself to go with the colours in the card.
Thank you for stopping by and leaving your comments.
I hope you continue to have a very pleasant Thursday.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.
