PEACH AND BROWN

Hi and welcome to my blog all my craft loving
friends, and visitors.
Well I do hope you all had a wonderful Christmas,
and the New Year is starting to be a really great one for all of you.
Sorry I have been missing again, but I have had
family staying for a few days.

Thank you for all your wonderful support of my
blog and the really great comments you make on
my work.

I have had a date for my op it is the 23rd of Jan.
So now I must get my skates on and make some
Birthday cards for my grandchildren this month,
and I have a commission to do for Feb, so that
will have to be done before my op.
So here is a start, with my eldest granddaughters.

Now the inside.

This is a 8"x8" size card.
I didn't have any brown A3 card to make this, so
I improvised by rubbing a bronze metallic rub ons
onto the edges of the black card to make it look
brown.
I copied some of my Heartfelt Burst of Splendor
paper onto white card.
Now this wasn't the colour I wanted so I distressed
the edges with Wild Honey Distress Ink, and I also
did the same to the middle of the paper to give it
a more bronze look.
Then I used my bronze rub ons again all over the
paper and the edges.
This doesn't show up very well in the picture,
unfortunately as it looks really fab.
The flower is one I made with the Heartfelt
Sunkissed Fleur Die, and the Ivy is a Creative
Expressions Stamp coloured in with water colour
pencils, and cut out.

Thank you again for your visit, and time.
I hope you all have a wonderful crafty weekend.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

Hi Jenny
Happy New Year!
Gorgeous card. The ivy is stunning as is the technique to get the colour you wanted. I got the Sun kissed Fleur with some of my Christmas money and can't wait to play with it.
Best wishes.

Jenny that's good that you have got a date for your op, my friend has just cone round after her op which lasted 6hours instead of 5. It will be a while before if they know if it had worked. Your card is another gorgeous one, you put so much work into your cards. I have just completed the scrapbook picture it was easier than I thought it would be, so I just hope they like it. Hope this weather hasn't been causing you to many problems. Hazel xx

So glad to hear that you are booked for your operation. That is quite fast compared to Canada's wait lists too!
Take care as i know you are trying to get many things done before your op...but take care for you too!
Your card is gorgeous...she is going to love this one. So shimmery and lovely with that metallic patina you have created.

You do such amazing cards! I love the way you've used these dies to make such a splendid flower. Very imaginative. Also enjoyed reading your adaptation of the papers to make it into the colors you needed for your color scheme. It was fabulous! Your grdtr is going to be bowled over! Good luck in your upcoming surgery, and when you are able, let us know how you are faring. TFS, plenty pre-op hugs, and Happy New Year!
