Hi and welcome to cardsarus blog spot
My name is Jenny Lawrence and I live in Kent.
My dear and wonderful husband Tony passed away in March 2019
We had been married for 36 years. I also lost my first Husband to the big C when I was quite young. I have 3 children and 3 stepchildren. 12 Grandchildren and 5 Great Granddaughters and 3 Great Grandsons. I have been card making for about 25 years.
I have made things all my life as my Mum and Grand Mother taught me lots of hobbies.
I have made my own clothes, knitted garments, hand embroidered items of clothing, and crocheted items too.
I love to bake my own cakes as well.
Good evening to all you wonderful, and talented blog friends and visitors. I do hope all is going well in your households, Well we are half way through another week. I kept thinking it was Friday today, I don't know why it just felt like Friday, for some reason. A BIG THANK YOU for all your comments on my last post. You know I really appreciate your visit and time. Well we have had a mixed day today some sun, some very dull times throughout the day too.
Tonight I have a Besties image I bought a couple of weeks ago when Sheri Baldy was having a sale. I really loved this one straight away. Just what I would like to be doing if I could swim, but I can't and have tried to learn, but I am so afraid of the sea and pools as I nearly drowned in one when I was about 10 years old. I made sure all my children learned form an early age, as their Dad was a fantastic swimmer, and so is my daughter, who this card is for. Well enough of my warbles as the great Sue P would say.

This an 8x8 card. The image is coloured in with Promarkers and Tria markers. I picked the glitter paper because I thought it looked like sand. I tried to make the Grand Circle look like water. I don't know if the Stickles has done that or not. I'm not sure if it shows up enough on the photo. I used some flowers, and sea shells from my stash, and the sun glasses are a button. Now I have a picture of my granddaughter and her friends at Ascot Ladies Day last Thursday. My granddaughter is the 2nd from the left sitting down, in the flowered dress.
Don't they all look so lovely, with their fabulous hats, and outfits don't you think. Thank you again for your visit. I hope you all have the most marvelous day tomorrow. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
Good evening dear friends and visitors. THANK YOU for all your comments on Ellie's C Beebies card. I really do love to read what you have to say about my work. I do hope your week so far is going well, and the weather is very kind to you. Today in Kent we had a lovely sunny day, so hubby and I went out for the day, to Tenterden. There I managed to get my granddaughter's 21st Birthday present. She wants a Cath Kidson bag, because she can't afford to buy one for herself as she only has a part time job at the moment. So I think she will be pleased with it. She has always liked the one I was bought by my daughter and granddaughter for my Birthday last year.
Tonight I have a quick card I made for my other stepdaughter's partner. I suddenly remembered it a little late and had to rush and make this, and make it quite flat as it had to be posted to Wales.

This is a shaped 8x8 card blank I bought at the NEC. I distressed the card with Wild Honey Distress Ink, and then stamped the whole card with Sam Pooles Carte Postale stamps. I also used Tea Dye Distress Ink on the cut outs too. Thank you for your visit and comments. I hope you all have a wonderful crafty day tomorrow. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
Good morning dear friends and visitors. I hope you all had a great weekend. Sorry I haven't been around to comment on your blogs, I have had a few problems with my printers. Yes I have 2 and they have both been out of action for most of the weekend. They are still not perfect, so I may have to buy a new one. Poor hubby has been working on them all weekend, because I needed to get this C Beebies Card finished to send away to the BBC in a day or so, as you have to send them in a month before their Birthday.
THANK YOU for all your recent comments on my work. I very much appreciate you taking the time out your busy day to visit my blog.
So here is what I have been working on.
I have to get this packed and send it away tomorrow. Here's hoping it gets shown as her one last year wasn't, but her sister had 3 shown for the first 3 years of her life. So I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed that at least once Ellie can have hers shown.
Thank you for your visit. I do hope you all have a wonderful day. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
Good evening dear blog friends and visitors. I do hope you have had lovely weather for most of this week. In my part of the South East of the country, the week started off really beautiful, and since then it has been very dull and very humid, for the last 2 days.
THANK YOU everyone, for taking the time out of your busy day to visit me and make such great comments on my last card.
Today I been helping my daughter look after my 2 little great granddaughters as their mother goes to Ascott Ladies Day every year.
Tonight I haven't got a card to show you, but I have been making some flowers with my Britannia Multi Flower Rose Die, I bought while at the NEC in March. So I thought I would show you what I have been making.

There are some different size roses, and fuchsias. I cut these out with the die and then coloured them with Promarkers, before being glued together. If anyone is interested in making these, there is a tutorial on U Tube showing you how to make them.
Now to my sisters jewellery she has made me. This is a bracelet she made me a while ago.
Well that's all for today folks. Thank you again for your visit. I hope to be back visiting you tomorrow, but it is hubbies Birthday, and we are off out to lunch somewhere. I do hope you all have a fabulous Friday. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
Good evening to all you talented craft loving people and visitors. May I say a BIG WELCOME to my new followers, and thank you for choosing my blog to follow. I do hope you have all had a really good day, and that you managed to slot some crafting into it.
THANK YOU for all your wonderful comments on my very quick and hurried card, and my sister's jewellery. I very much appreciate your opinions on mine and my sister's work.
Tonight I have my hubbies Birthday Card to show you as promised. Now the image isn't at all like my hubby, but as he has been busy with his planting seeds for runner beans lately I thought this image appropriate. Actually the gardening apron is very like my one, as hubby doesn't wear an apron to do his gardening.

This is a 8x8 card size. The digi image is a Mo Manning one coloured in with Flexmarkers and Promarkers. The papers are Forever Friends Good Life Pack. I have used green chalk round the images and verse. I used a few little gardening elements from my stash. Thank you again for your visit. Lots of crafty love. JENNY. I would like to enter this into the following challenges. http://pinkgemchallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/ Father's Day or Mans Card.
Good evening dear blog friends and visitors. I hope you have all had a fabulous weekend. The weather here was quite miserable till teatime, and then the sun came out for a few hours.
THANK YOU for all your comments on my card, and shoes. I see most of you liked them, I was not sure whether you would. So it looks like us crafty peeps all like similar things. You know what they say great minds and all that.
Tonight I have a Father's Day card I had to make rather quickly as my dear and lovely hubbies cards didn't arrive in the post in time, and they were posted on Wednesday. So I thought being a bit on the light side of cards for today I would make him a quick card. Especially as I have just finished his Birthday card for later this week. I have also some more of my sister's jewellery, here is a necklace she made me recently.

Now the jewellery.
The colours in this are so lovely, and it really sparkles. I feel very lucky to have a sister who can make me such beautiful pieces of jewellery. Thank you again for your visit. I'll be back with hubbies Birthday card tomorrow. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
Good morning dear blog friends and visitors. I do hope all is okay with all of you at this present time. We have had wonderful sunshine for the last few days, but still very windy, in my part of Kent. We also had very heavy rain over night, I don't mind the rain over night, as it fills my water butt up for me. Then it doesn't cost me money to water my plants, and that's more money for craft goodies.lol.
Thank you for all your fabulous comments on my last creation. I do love to read all what you have to say about my work. I very much appreciate you sparing the time out of your busy day to visit me and comment.
Today I have a 21st Birthday card, the person I made it for loves purple.

Now to something different, my good blog friend Flora put on her blog a beautiful flowered pair of wellies, well I was saying to her about my flowered shoes and promised to post a picture of them. Well here it is, and guess what it has butterflies ingrained in the sole too, and you know how much I love butterflies so I had to have them.
Now the sole.
The card is an 8x8 my fav size as you all may have gathered. The flowers were made with Spellbinders Rose Creations Die. Thank you again for your visit. I do hope you all have a great weekend and the weather is kind to you. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
Good morning to all you wonderful and talented craft loving friends and visitors. I hope you are all feeling well and anyone who is not well I do hope you will soon be feeling better again.
THANK YOU for all your wonderful comments on my last card. Reading them all gives me a huge boost of confidence.
Well I received my new E Bosser, and I love it soooooo much already, and the good news is Spellbinders are going to replace my GC handle free of charge. Mind you my hubby did say it was quite a weak handle for all the work it does. I did notice from the time I received it when in use it squeaked a lot, but never thought of querying it. Silly me.
Today I have a card made with a Sheri Baldy Bestie image. I bought 2 images recently and this was a freebie she sent me too. The card is one I have been asked to make for a lady who founded my little singing group. She is not at all well, but we thought we would put thinking of you on it instead of Get Well, because sadly we don't think she is going to.

This is a 8x8 card. The image is as I said a Sherri Baldy one coloured in with Felxmarkers ans Promarkers. I received a lovely A4 embossing folder with my E Booser so of course I had to try it out. I used the bright pink card again although it looks red in the photo. I'm not at all sure about the colour of the flowers though, they look a bit dull to me as I distressed them with Faded Jeans Distress ink.
Thank you again for taking the time to visit me. I hope you all have a wonderful day, and you manage to slot some craft into it. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges. http://bestieschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/ Die cuts.
Good evening dear blog friends and visitors. I do hope you have all had a super weekend. Anyone among you sun burned or should I say wind burned. lol. The winds have been really horrible for quite a few days now. I know we have had sunshine and I shouldn't grumble, but that wind makes it so cold here in the South, so I don't know what it's like for you peeps in the north of the country.
May I say a BIG THANK YOU again for all your wonderful comments on my work.
Tonight I have a card I have made for my stepdaughter's Birthday. I was busy looking at what Pink Gems has to offer and spotted this image, and fell instantly in love with it. I do hope my colouring has done justice to this wonderful digi image.
My GC broke while making this one so lovely hubby helped by fitting a spanner to the handle, this was very hard going, so my wonderful hubby has bought me a new electric embosser. Whoopee, I am a happy bunny now, as I felt so miserable after my GC broke it handle. It should arrive tomorrow. Well that's enough of my waffling as the great Sue P would say. I hope you like it.

This is a 8x8 size card. I thought I would try these colours for a change. Digi image from Pink Gems, and colured in with Flexmarkers, and Promarkers. The papers are Papermania Capsule Collection Heather paper pack, and the flowers are made with Kaiser Craft Paper. The flowers were made with a die I was bought for my Birthday in March, and it's the first time I have used it. You know us crafty peeps I put in the drawer with my other dies and forgot I had it. I inked the edge of the flowers with Dusty Concorde Distress Ink, and then I put Silver Ice Stickles on it to glitter it. Thank you again for your visit. I hope you all have a really good crafty week. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.

I made the box with Centura Snow White A3 card, and then decorated it similar to the card. Well that's all for today folks. I do hope you all have a great weekend, and manage to slot some craft in somewhere. lol. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
Good morning to all you talented, and craft loving blog friends and visitors. I know I say this most days when I post my creations, but may I say a really big THANK YOU for all your support and time you spend visiting my blog and making such wonderful comments.
We have has some beautiful sunshine for the last few days, but that wind is still a tad cold too. On Tuesday I actually sat in the garden and had my breakfast, because it was so glorious. The plants are beginning to grow quite nicely now.
Today I have a 80th Birthday card to share with you for my friend who used to organize my little ladies club with me. Later today I will make the box to go with it. The card I used is a very deep bright pink, but it looks almost red in the picture.

This card is an 8x8 size. I have used the Cupcake CD Floral Delights for the paper I used to die cut the flowers and corners. This was printed on inkjet Shimmer White Decoupage Paper which is very pearlised, but it doesn't show on the photo. I decided to cover part of the corners with the paper too, as it was so pretty. I cut out a SB grand circle and then I cut out the center with the Di-namics Dizzy Doily die and replaced it back on foam pads. I also cut one out of the paper too and added it to the top of that. I added some AB pearls I just purchased, and some pearls on a string from my stash.
Well that's all for today folks will be looking at what you have created later today. Thank you again for sparing your time to visit me. I do hope you all enjoy your Thursday. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
Good afternoon dear blog friends and visitors. I do hope you are all having a great weekend. The weather here today started beautiful and sunny, but now it is dull and overcast at the moment.

Today I have a card I made a couple of years ago and have never shown on my blog.

No inside as I made this before I started to photograph the insides. It was mad for my step daughter who very much loves anything Egyptian. I have used SB Dies and the Nefertiti is a topper I bought from C and C a long time ago.
Thank you again for your visit and time. I hope you are all managing to slot some craft into your weekend. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
