BESTIES ALL AT SEA

Good evening to all you wonderful, and talented
blog friends and visitors.
I do hope all is going well in your households,
Well we are half way through another week.
I kept thinking it was Friday today, I don't know
why it just felt like Friday, for some reason.

A BIG THANK YOU for all your comments on
my last post.
You know I really appreciate your visit and time.

Well we have had a mixed day today some sun,
some very dull times throughout the day too.

Tonight I have a Besties image I bought a couple
of weeks ago when Sheri Baldy was having a
sale. I really loved this one straight away.
Just what I would like to be doing if I could swim,
but I can't and have tried to learn, but I am so
afraid of the sea and pools as I nearly drowned
in one when I was about 10 years old.
I made sure all my children learned form an early
age, as their Dad was a fantastic swimmer, and
so is my daughter, who this card is for.
Well enough of my warbles as the great Sue P
would say.

Now the inside.

This an 8x8 card.
The image is coloured in with Promarkers and
Tria markers.
I picked the glitter paper because I thought it
looked like sand.
I tried to make the Grand Circle look like water.
I don't know if the Stickles has done that or not.
I'm not sure if it shows up enough on the photo.
I used some flowers, and sea shells from my stash,
and the sun glasses are a button.

Now I have a picture of my granddaughter and her friends at Ascot Ladies Day last Thursday.
My granddaughter is the 2nd from the left sitting
down, in the flowered dress.

Don't they all look so lovely, with their fabulous hats, and outfits don't you think.
Thank you again for your visit.
I hope you all have the most marvelous day
tomorrow.
Lots of crafty love. JENNY.

Fab card Jenny you have achieved both the water and sand effect beautifully. Love the image and the design of the card is gorgeous. I too have not been successful at swimming, took lessons but was terrified of the water. Like you I had a scare when I was young. Your granddaughter and friends look very stylish in their Ascot outfits, you should be o proud of her.

Love the card Jenny and those little sunglasses, so cute! Fab photo too, they do all look lovely...I'm the same as you: was doing ok as a kid being taught to swim by my dad, then we started going with the school and I still remember clearly the teacher having us all in a row in the pool and just pushing each of our heads under..to this day I just can't put my head under water, so can't swim or go anywhere out of my depth in a holiday pool!

Gorgeous card Jenny, you have done a wonderful job of this image...your grand daughter is very beautiful too....thanks for asking about dad, he is very unsettled I guess in and out of hospital and not giving him a chance to settle in his home....we are trying to wean ourselves from going there every day so he can place more confidence and trust in the staff and himself....you take care to...luv annie xxx

What can I say Jenny - there I was with me new 'Mimi McGuire' swimmies and I never went in the pool - Graham went in the first day and then his ear became infected that night so that was it for me! The rep who came out to the villa to see us said she doesn't go in the pool until July - double no no for me then!!! Will tell you about my swimming ability (lmao) later!

As for your creation, this is just perfect with the bright summery colours. I love it loads. Your granddaughter looks gorgeous in her Ascot finery but.... did she pick a winner???

Hugs to me warbly mate Sue Pxxx
