BUTTERFLY AND SNIPPETS CHALLENGE CARD

Hi and welcome to my blog all very talented
friends, and visitors.
Thank you for your wonderful comments on my
TCBH post.
I do really need to do some serious tiding of my
craft room, but I would far rather be creating
than tiding, maybe in a few days time. lol.

Now I made this card in just over an hour this
morning, and that's quick for me as I usually
take lot longer than that. lol.
I needed it for this afternoon, as I was singing
with my group of singers, and the lady in
question is leaving the group.
We used to meet at her cottage for our singing
practice, and she always had beautiful birds
feeding from the bird feeder.
We even saw a woodpecker in her apple tree.
So hear is the card I made her.

Card size is just under 6"x6" .
The topper is an Hunkydory one from their
decoupage book.
I added some apple blossom flowers, a lady bird,
dragonfly, and a butterfly cabochon to my bow,
all from my stash.
Now the apple blossom looking flowers were
some snippets left over from another card.

Now before I go I would like to show you my
Begonia in my garden, this year, now I usually
put the tuber away for the winter, but this year
I forgot, and guess what we had a mild winter,
and it survived, and I am so glad it did.

Sorry about my arm in the photo. It was so big

that the flower head was drooping, and DH
couldn't take the shot properly.

Thank you again for your visit and time.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

I would like to enter this into the following
challenges.

There's a lot to say about this post Jenny!! Firstly what a gorgeous card, a beautiful image and those flowers look so much like that apple blossom, and, of course, the inside doesn't disappoint either. I resisted commenting about your craft room but I really think it would keep health and safety busy for a week or two!! Finally your begonia is magnificent, no wonder your paper flowers are so lovely with that kind of inspiration outside your window!! xx

This is a very pretty card Jenny. I love anything to do with nature, so the birds, bugs and blossoms are right up my street. I've just read your Creative blog Hop post too as it was my sister Jean who tagged you. You had a very talented mum. I remember my coronation outfit for the street party too. It was a white shirt with red flowers embroidered on it, and a blue skirt held up with shoulder straps made from Union Jack ribbons. Kate x

Hi Jenny you've probably got the same book as me for the blanket, I thought exactly the same!
Love your card and flowers too, it's always nice when something survives the winter when you think it hasn't.
As for craft rooms being a mess....bet mine is worse!
I always get distracted and never finish, crafting is so much more fun.

Hugs Erika. x

HI Jenny, this card is beautiful, love the image and your friend will be thrilled...your begonia is also very beautiful! I bet my craft room is worse than yours...a health and safety person who have kittens, but I spend hours tidying, waste loads of craft time and then can find anything and the circle starts again! Hey-ho...hugs Carole Z X

Oh my, that is one gloriously lovely begonia, and TFS it with us. I've never seen one this color before. As usual your card is wonderful. Love that cheery bird, as we do have yellow finches in the summer that look just like this. So brilliantly colored. The butterfly cabochon is also something I've not seen before. All the elements you've added to make this beautiful card were especially pretty with the topper, and your recipient will be so happy to know you took the time to make something so charming for her. TFS & have a good afternoon. Hugs

Sorry I am way behind Jenny. This card is gorgeous and such a fantastic begonia. Strangely my begonia did not flower this year and my next door neighbour's begonias were not great either.
