ANYONE FOR GOLF AND A SHOWCASE

Hi,
and good morning to all my friends out there in blog land. Especially my very talented followers.
Whoopee I have 16 followers now so a big welcome to my new followers and the same to the
followers who have joined earlier in my blog life, so to speak. THANK YOU for all your lovely
comments, and your precious time. It makes me feel so happy to have your wonderful friendship.

Now to the card today. You know I said I find creating Male Cards difficult to design, and I
don't get the same buzz at the end as I do with a ladies one. Well here is one of my attempts it
was for my granddaughters husband.

I used an 8x8 card as many of you will know by now my favourite size. Matted it with navy
pearlised card stock, because I didn't have any paper that matched golfing, I made my own.
With 120 GSM copier paper I inked it with 2 different colour distress inks and then stamped
the golfer, his golf bag, and Happy Birthday, randomly. I also did the same for the inside of
the card. I used Personal Impressions template to make the golf bag, coloured in with Promarkers.
I then decoupaged it and did stitching with a black pen. The Happy Birthday tag and the golf bag
embellishment were made with 3 layers of Metal Magic and then the stamp put int it to create a impression. So theres my male card. What do you think?

Next I would like to showcase more of my sisters jewellery making. She made me this to go with
my outfit for my granddaughters wedding. She actually made me 2 one was shown on Lindyloos
blog quite a few weeks ago, and this one I wore because it matched my outfit better.

I hope you like it, and thank you for visiting my blog. Have a wonderful crafty Friday everyone
Lots of crafty love. Jenny Lawrence.

Good Morning,
Where do I start?? love the card and an excellent card for a Golfer, not too fussy for a "man card" must keep that in mind.
Wow! oh! Wow! that jewellery is just stunning Oh! how I would love to be able to do things like that. I make jewellery that is very different "big & bold" but my dream is to be able to do things like you have shown. Wish your sister was lived near me..............
I would be a good pupil I really would!!
Have a Great Day

Our men are so difficult to make for aren't they? But you managed it with this. My masculine cards all tend to be CAS too because you can't add all the lovely embellishments like you can on female card? Your sister's jewellry is absolutely gorgeous! love from Christine x

Morning Jenny, First of all, I must congratulate you on the new-look Blog, I'm loving the background, how did you manage that, it's fantastic.
Secondly, the golfing card is brilliant, although like you say, they don't have the same impact as a female card, but gorgeous all the same.
Thirdly, your sister's jewellery is absolutely stunning, I bet you had lots of ooh's and aah's when you wore them, they are beautiful. Lots of love from Patricia xx

Well Jenny what to say first. I think I have to join Patricia Howarth and say I love the new look blog; retro, bright and so cheerful. Its fabulous.
Your background paper is lovely. This is a wonderful way to use up the stash of inks and stamps we all acquire and produce something totally unique. Well done you, you put me to shame as I haven't done alot of this for a while now, but you have given me the inspiration to have a go again. Thank you for that, I could do with some wonderful inspiration at the moment and now I feel some ideas brewing.
Now to your sister's jewellery: almost speechless again. This is beautiful and made with such commitment and professionalism. Beautifully designed and finished. As we, your sisters admirers have said before, your sister is truly talented. You mentioned before about your sister not having a blog, well why don't you both share your blog. There are many out there who have blogs that are run by more than one person. It would be so exciting as we would never know who and what would be posted next. Then when she feels it may be for her, she could start her own. It is quite simple to set up, you just add her as a blog Author on the 'Basic' tab under 'Settings'. It's an idea for you, hope it was ok to suggest.
Well, I need some cheering today, so I am actually off up to the craftroom. Hopefully a card on the horizon.
Have a wonderful day, whatever you are up to. Hugs Linda xx

Hi Jenny - why on earth do we all struggle with men's cards?? You have made a lovely card - I particularly like your backing paper, what a good idea! Bet it was gratefully received as well.

Yours sister's jewellery making is spectacular I love the colour of the beads. Very very classy and chic!
