Hi and welcome to cardsarus blog spot
My name is Jenny Lawrence and I live in Kent.
My dear and wonderful husband Tony passed away in March 2019
We had been married for 36 years. I also lost my first Husband to the big C when I was quite young. I have 3 children and 3 stepchildren. 12 Grandchildren and 5 Great Granddaughters and 3 Great Grandsons. I have been card making for about 25 years.
I have made things all my life as my Mum and Grand Mother taught me lots of hobbies.
I have made my own clothes, knitted garments, hand embroidered items of clothing, and crocheted items too.
I love to bake my own cakes as well.
Hi and good evening dear blog friends and visitors. THANK YOU sooooooo much for all your really lovely comments on Ellie's Card.
I have been looking after my grandchildren today so sorry I haven't had the time to visit you. My granddaughter wanted to bake a cake this morning so just to make Sue P and Sue Js mouths water we baked a lovely gooy chocolate cake with chocolate frosting all over it. While my grandson had goalie training.
Tonight I have another of my Baby Book Cards and box. This is what I have been working on in between looking after my grandchildren. WARNING a lot of photos for this post. lol.

I am soooooooo pleased Ellie's card made it on the CBeebies Birthday Card show yesterday. For anyone who would like to see it go to BBC i player and it was on the 12.15pm show. This is mainly for my great blog friend Sue P as she asked about it.
Today I have another of Ellie's Birthday Cards this was made for my daughter to give her little granddaughter.

This is an A4 size card. I made the backing paper again with Decoupage 2 CD. The shape dies inside are my newest ones I bought recently. The corners are Di-namics dies. I only make these type of cards for family members because you couldn't sell them because of copyright.
Thank you for your visit. I'm off to look after my grandchildren who are on holiday from school. Will be round to see your creations later. I hope you all have a fabulous day. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.

This is and A4 size card. I painted the sky and hills with Wisper Pens, and water. I cut out the grass with scissors as I don't have a die that can do this. I also cut out the clouds by hand as I don't have the die to do this too. Made the paper inside from the Decoupage 2 CD.
Thank you again for your visit. I hope you all are having a wonderful Sunday. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
Hi and good afternoon dear blog friends and visitors. May I say a big welcome to my newest follower, and thank you sooooo much for choosing to follow my blog. THANK You for all your comments on my last card. I really do appreciate every one you make.
Our singing at the nursing home was cancelled this afternoon, due to the person who booked us going on holiday and not telling anyone else we were booked so they had already arranged an outing for their residents. This suited me fine as I have had a very busy week, and the heat makes me extremely tired. I don't sleep well at the best of times and this heat makes it worse. Still I mustn't grumble as I know most of you are enjoying this beautiful weather.
Today I have a card I made for Ellie my littlest great granddaughter, it's her Birthday on Monday and she will be 2 years old. So when I saw this Besties image I knew I had to have it for her. I hope you like it too.

This is and 8x8 size card. I have used the Dessert Bloom Papers on this. So sad I'm nearly out of this paper pad, because I have really loved the papers that were in it. The image is a Sherri Baldy Besties Image, coloured in with Promarkers. I added some pink daisies on a roll that were in my stash from what I had of my mothers. Some AB pearls on top. The sentiment was computer generated. I coloured my sentiment and the inside verse with chalk as I haven't got and orange distress ink.
Thank you again for your visit. Will be round your blogs shortly to comment. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
Hi and good evening dear and talented blog friends and visitors to my blog.
THANK YOU for all your super comments on my last card. I am glad you all liked it so much, it means a great deal to me having you visit me, and I love reading your wonderful comments.
I tried to comment today while looking after Ellie with my i pad but I seemed to get in a knot with the comments, must practice more with it. I'm not sure if I will be able to comment tomorrow as I have Ellie to look after again, and tonight I have to make Ellie's Birthday card, and I am way behind with a few others, I have to make also. Friday is also not a good day as I am looking after my other grandchildren in the morning, and out singing at a nursing home in the afternoon. So hope fully I will be back in comment mode again by Saturday. Tonight I have a quick card I made for my Aunt who lives in Australia. She will be 92 in August. This is a twisted easel and my first attempt at this type of card.

This is a 5x5 size card tried to keep it small and flat because of the postage costs. The papers used were in a book I bought a few months ago at the supermarket, and also the sentiment and flower were in there too. Just added some metal butterflies and dragonfly from my stash. The corners were from my Di-namics Corner Dies, and a teardrop circle in the center as the stopper. Thank you again for your visit. I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
Hi and good morning to all you talented crafty blog friends and visitors. Thank you sooooooo much for all your wonderful comments on my last piece of work.
May I say big welcome to my newest follower and thank you soooooooooo much for choosing to follow me.
Well did you all have thunder storms last night ? We did in Kent and boy I have never seen such lightening before. The rain that followed made a mess of a lot of the plants in the garden, but at least it filled the water butt up.
Today I have the other grandson card I promised a few days ago. This grandson attends university, and is studying to be a musical technician. Or I think that's what they call it when you get the sounding right in musicals and concerts.

This is another of my shaped cards I bought at the NEC sadly the last one left of these. I decorated it with some music paper made from a picture in my i photo album. The one end of the fish tail tag I rolled up, this was and idea from RMG Creations blog. Thank you Rita.
Thank you again for your visit. I hope you all have a really super day. Not sure if I will be around tomorrow as I have Ellie to look after, but I will try. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
Hi and good afternoon dear blog friends and visitors. Sorry I didn't post yesterday, but as it was a cooler day in Kent, so I did a major clean up and tidy in my craft room.
I also had to take a faulty Hougie Project Book back to my local craft shop, because it was faulty. There were 3 pages missing, and 3 pages repeated in it. While I was there they still had a 50% off everything sale, except for CD, so you can't pass up an offer like that can you. lol.
Thank you for all your comments on my last card. I very much appreciate you comments and time spent visiting my blog.
Today I haven't the other grandson card as promised, but a card I have made for the Pink Gems Challenge.

I cut the shape card out of a new die I bought yesterday. Sorry don't know the name or make of it as it had no name or make on the wrapping. I cut out the shape by extending the die over the edge of the cutting board. Cautionary tale if using a E-Bosser don't use it for this type of project as it bends the die. Luckily it went back okay, so next time I will use the Grand Calibur, because I know it is okay for this type of cutting. I inked my white card all over with Dusty Concord Distress Ink to make it purple. I embossed some pearly metallic card and cut out the shapes a little smaller, for the base and top of the easel. I used a Pink Gem image colored in with Promarkers. The button in the middle of the bow I coloured and glittered to match the card. Everything else from my stash.
Thank you again for you visit to my humble blog. I hope everyone has a super crafty day. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
Good afternoon dear blog friends and visitors. I hope you all are enjoying our heatwave. Those that find this weather a problem because of health issues. May I just say I do hope you are coping okay, and I am sending big hugs to make you be able to cope with it better.

This is a 8x8 shaped card I bought at the NEC. I distressed the whole of the card with Peeled Paint Distress Ink to change the colour of it. The papers are Papermania Capsule Collection. I used some gold mirror board, and the toppers were from Kanban. I applied some buttons from my stash, and the lettering I also bought at the Nec.
Thank you again for your visit and time. I hope you all continue to have a wonderful crafty day. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.

This is a 8x8 size card. I have not put a sentiment, or verse inside as it was not made for anyone in particular. I used my embossing folder that came with my E bosser again, but I have used the other side of the embossing this time. The circles are SB Grand Decorative Circles Die. The corners are Marriane Creatables Corner Die. The papers used for the flowers, are Dovecraft, and I used a orange chalk to change their colour. These were made from the Di-namics Plentyful Petals Die. Buttons from my stash for the centers, some lovely orange ribbon I won on a blog hop, and some beads I bought on a rope for the corners, and between the ribbon on the circle.
Good evening to all your craft loving friends and visitors. Thank you for all your lovely comments on my bookmark. It looks like some of you may be making a few of these, as they are very handy to give to a book loving friends, or sell if you do craft fairs.

I couldn't show you a better picture of the inside, as I forgot and rote in it before taking the photo. This was an 8x8 design card bought at the NEC. I have used Papermania Papers, and some sport and beer die cuts already printed.

I cut out 2 SB Square Swatches out of silver card and embossed them with the Enchanted M- Bossabilities embossing folder. Then I glued them together round half of the edges. I then decorated the top with the middle cut outs of the SB Ornate Cross Die. This I did by interlacing the pieces together, and glued some of cross edges between. I also made the ornate piece under the button from the cross pieces too. I added some pearls and an organza flower from my stash, and wallah you have a very pretty bookmark to give a friend or keep yourself.
Thank you again for your visit. I hope you all have managed to do some crafting in this hot spell. I am very lucky as I have a overhead fan on my ceiling in the craft room. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.

Good morning dear blog friends and visitors. A BIG THANK YOU for taking the time out of your busy day to pay my blog a visit. THANK YOU also for all your comments on my last card and box. You are all sooooooo very kind with your wonderful comments.
I was asked to convert one of my cards in my box of made up cards to an 18th Birthday Daughter card, but as I left no room on the said card for all this sentiment, I made a new one which is not needed now. So it will go in my box with the others, maybe one day someone will need it. So here is what I have been working on.

This an 8x8 card. Matted with gold vellum paper I bought a long time ago, then I embossed the Centura Pearl with my embossing folder that came with my E- Bosser. I embossed and cut 3 Special Touch Mask Doilies. I die cut my Di-Namics Dizzy Doily 6 times and cut it in half to go round the edges of the other doily. I die cut another Dizzy Doily for the front, and a lacy circle for the sentiment. I die cut 24 Marriane Creatables Corner 12 in white and 12 in gold, and glued the white to the gold so only the edges show gold. The flowers are SB Anemone Die. The foliage is SB Foliage 2. Pearls and hearts from my stash. Sorry this is so long winded an explanation of how I built up this card.
Thank you again for your visit. I do hope you all have a super Monday, and manage to slot some craft into your day. Lots of crafty love. JENNY.
