BLACK AND WHITE CARD

Hi and good morning to all my wonderful talented followers
and visitors.
I hope you all had a really great day yesterday, and managed
to combine some crafting in to your day.
I expect a lot of you did manage to craft with the dreadful
weather the whole of the country seems to be having, you can't
do much else.
So I suppose there is something good about bad weather.
I just feel so dreadfully sorry for those who get flooded out
in these bad weather times.
THANK YOU for all your wonderful comments and visits.
I really do appreciate every one that is made.

My card today is one I made for one of my older
granddaughters.

This one is a quick card but I think it's quite effective.
I started with an 8x8 shaped white card blank
Matted with black card and some black and white check card.
A little tip when I want to make the inside of the card the same
and I haven't got any more of the card. I photocopy the card on
my printer, and then I have a matching card or paper to go in
the inside. Sorry can't show the inside as I wrote on it before
I photographed it.
I made the flower out of a reel scolloped organza I bought
many moons ago from C and C.
I added a button to the center some black stone swags, some
white stones to the corners, and some little bows.
I hope you like it.

Now I thought I would show you a baby blanket a friend
asked me to make. I never go by a pattern I just make this
from my head.

Just thought you might like to see that I do like other crafting
as well as card making.
Well that's all for today folks.
Thank you again for your visit.
Have a wonderful crafty day everyone.
Lots of crafty love. JENNY.

Morning Jenny, I absolutely love your black and white card today, the plaid paper is super, I love it, I love anything plaid, I have lots of plaid ribbon. That is a fantastic tip for the insides, copying the card and printing off onto paper, ingenious. The star, for me, is the flower, I have never, ever, seen any ribbon like that, it is beautiful.
The baby blanket is gorgeous, I wish I could crochet, I bought 2 crocheted blankets that I use as throws on the back of my sofas, at a church fete many moons ago, and they are still going strong. I must give it a try and get a beginners book or have a look on YouTube, I knit but have never tried crochet.
Yesterday, I went through a couple of cupboards in my craft room and sorted out a load of things that I have never used or duplicated and took them to the local craft shop, they have a 'Sale Table', if someone else can make use of them that's fine. Today, I have mundane tasks to do, like washing, drying and ironing, yuck ha ha, don't think I will get much time today in my craft room, I really need to get it sorted ha ha !!.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Morning Jenny, visiting the blogs this morning and playing catch up and will say I loved your tag from yesterday a beautiful design. Today's card is fantastic I so like monochrome and the faux stitching around the edge is very effective and your flower is stunning. What a lovely baby blanket, such delicate colours and the little flowers add that finishing touch. I do a little crocheting but haven't done anything for a while. I do have a some knitted items though calling out 'finish me, finish me' but with hubby in hospital at moment not enough hours in the day to craft. Enjoy your Thursday, love Christine H xx

Good Morning Jenny,
You and I are so on the same wavelength I have just finished a "Black & White" card. A request from Hazel for a boy 21st card.
Was going to show it tomorrow but might hang back a couple of days on that one.

Your little blanket is so sweet, love the added wee flowers.
You have a PHD as well!!! .................Projects Half Finished............ well that`s what mine is in anyway!!!!!
I used to do very fine crochet but have done any of that in a while.
Have a Great Day
Patricia xx
